last one to dive off the pier is a great big wuss

do you think we'll be able to spot phono in the JR audience tonight?

Egg · 08/03/2008 11:17

I thought you said drive off the pier....

Morning all. How is everyone. Wonder how Phono got on last night.

Got SEVEN (yes SEVEN) hours sleep last night .

Wooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Poo Tally in Egg house for yesterday:

DS1 - two
DS2 - two
DD - three

Impressed?!?!?!?!?!

fryalot · 08/03/2008 20:09

hope phono had a fab time. Didn't spot her in the audience

Drive off the pier? well, I will, Thelma, if you will join me

That's seven poos in the one household.

Bet we can beat you! And if we can't beat you in number, we can make up for it in terms of smelliness, size and all round yuckness

seven hours sleep eh? you see, that's because you're fab and routiney and firm and that's why I'm only just getting seven hours sleep now after fourteen years of grabbing an hour here and an hour there.

Egg · 09/03/2008 13:28

Ah 7 poos in one household but not counting the adults. I didn't like to put our own info on there .

How is everyone today? I will only drive off the pier if we still have our old car, if we have a new one by then I am staying on dry land. Not sure DTs can swim yet either . In fact I can't really swim myself .

Last night was ok sleepwise, but DS1 still waking about 6:30am. Think it is the light, but not sure. He wakes that early no matter what time he goes to bed. Grrr.

marmitemad · 09/03/2008 14:18

Hellooooooooooooooooo
Thanks for the clothes parcel, arrive dat 06:55am yesterday but we all went back to sleep until 09:15am . We are off to hospital in a while so will pass on then and will definately get a picture of Connor today.

Went to look at underwater photos yesterday, have ordered a 12x8" one at £60 and then onto another birthday party, then went to visit friends in Stevenage.

Had a huge yummy fried breakfast so now feeling a bit lardy, will have to swim extra tomorrow.

Hooray for sleep in the Egg house (not much for me last night, cat kept sticking its paw in my ear ) but don't envy you on the poo front, is ds2 getting a bit more regular now?

Egg · 09/03/2008 16:04

Oh yippee, glad it arrived, although sorry it was so early . Thank god you all got back to sleep. I can guarantee that if the postman woke DS1 at that time in the morning he would stay awake. Of course he is always already awake by that point anyway at the mo...

Forgot to say, I HAD A DREAM ABOUT YOU LOT LAST NIGHT! We were on our way to Brighton. I had one of you plus DC in my car with me and my three DCs (impossible...) and we were following Squonk who was driving a very very old blue Volvo estate, and I kept saying I was sure she would get lost but she got us there in 45 mins!

Strange.

Very tired now. DH and DS1 at Tesco, but will be home in 20 mins. DTs both just gone to bed. Am gradually trying to structure their day a bit more so they have proper sleeps rather than nodding off wherever they are as they sleep too much in day at the mo. If I really really want a routine to work for them, I will need to be waking them by 6:30am each day, regardless of what time they last fed, and feed them at 6:45am. Can do it later, but the later I aim to start the day the later it will end, IFSWIM.

Bugger. Ratty has woken up. Poor Fatty has hardly slept today due to Ratty shouting in his ear.

fryalot · 10/03/2008 08:16

at egg's dream - my car's a Vauxhall, and 45 mins is perhaps a teensy bit on the quick side, but hey ho

tres stormy here today, and dd2 has a cold, a bad cough and a sore throat so am not taking her to nursery, we will light a fire and have a pyjama day instead.

Didn't go swimming on Saturday as dp was feeling ill still, but we went for a wander round the shops instead (he felt up to that ) and yesterday was his school parade and march to church, so we went to watch that, twas good.

ds awake three times in the night, and awake for good at 5.30.

dd1 in a mood to match the weather, but she's gone to school so her mates will have to put up with her.

marmitemad · 10/03/2008 08:51

very sad news from me today. Have just learned that SIL no.1 (10 days away from due date) went into hospital last night because lo wasn't moving to find out that baby has died. we are all in immense shock atm, I have spoken to sil (through tears) and am going to visit her soon. Unfortunately she is being induced and has to give birth . Sorry to bring down the thread, any advice gratefully received, I just don't know what to say .

fryalot · 10/03/2008 08:56

marmite

Sorry, I have no experience of this other than what I have seen on the boards. A very sad time for your SIL and the whole family.

Don't worry about bringing down the thread, it's what we're here for.

You can virtually hold my hand or cry on my shoulder any time you like.

Dropdeadfred · 10/03/2008 09:09

oh Marmite..I don't know what to say.Your family have really been put through some dark times recently and this is so sad. It must be every womans worst nightmare.
I don't have direct experience either but will gladly listen to anytime you want to talk.so sad for the whole family but my heart aches for your sil and her dh....

OMG marmite . You poor thing. It must be so hard for you as well as obviously horrendous for your SIL and her DH. Please please don't ever worry about "bringing the thread down". We are all here to help each other, esp as you no doubt will prob feel you need to be strong for SIL, but you can come and cry with us any time (having a bit of a weep here myself).

Puts my so called crap morning into perspective now. I will go away and cherish my little ones (sorry this is NOT meant to sound smug in any way, just very very grateful).

Egg · 10/03/2008 10:44

As squonk said, there are sadly many people on MN who have experienced this or have family or friends who have, so they will all be able to offer advice. From what I have read before just make sure you keep in touch and never forget her little one she lost, and don't be afraid to talk about it if SIL or her DH or anyone want to.

fryalot · 10/03/2008 11:08

I now have two poorly squonkettes... dd2 is playing through her snuffly nose and cough but ds wants to sit with mummy on the settee and drink milk.

So, am switching off the computer so we can snuggle on the settee all day.

As this thread is very nearly full, will someone email me a link to the new one if we start one before I come back?

thanks.

See you all tomorrow

Egg · 10/03/2008 11:12

Oh squonk not much fun. DS1 was v snotty this morning but otherwise seemed happy.

Have set up new thread here so we don't lose each other.

Babies still sleeping but think I had better wake DS2 as today is bathday and I need to bath him before he feeds. Considering he threw up his entire last feed I don't want to leave him too long.

Storm has returned. Think I was very lucky to have a dry nursery run today.
