I got her shoes as well

phono - I think your ds is probably safe. He is a complete cutie though, so I can't promise

I like the idea of a slave, fred... do you want to send her up to Yorkshire for a week or two? I really should organise some spring cleaning

Dropdeadfred · 05/03/2008 10:33

she did offer to pay the money out of her savings..but that seems unfair somehow (as most of her bank acct is mony given by relations, not to pay her phone bill)

You must post a picture (or a link to dress) Squonk, when is the party?

very, very busy at work yesterday and today so no lurking on here. Hav eto go and get new tyres at lunchtime so no swim today either.

baby connor is doing ok, been on the ventilator a few times for a rest but breathing on his own most of the time, SIL (dh's db's wife, although I know her very well as we went to school together) is coping really well and hoping to come home today. She changed his nappy yesterday and is feeding him ebm with a dropper (he has a stomach tube as well). We are going to see them all tonight hopefully.

I am tired as dh woke me when he came to bed at 1am (after working late!) then dd woke up and after that I couldn't sleep for hours.

at the mobile phone bill, how old is dd2? can she do some work in a shop? I worked 4 hours a week packing bags in sainsburys from age 15 for £2.50 per hour, that first £10 pay packet was wonderous and I blew it all on a Guns n Roses T shirt (which I still have) . Like the slave idea though, are you hiring her out at weekends?

Egg - hope you have fun at softplay and ds2's nose improves .

at Phono's dream, hope you're not feeling too nervous about the meet up (I knwo I will be on the day).

Have been looking at sat nav thingys and am now very confused. does anyone have one they can recommend?

also anyone know why I can't create a new conversation in the for sale board, do I have to pay somewhere now?

you have to sign up to the CAT facility to sell marmite which costs £5 i think

Connor sounds a real fighter..

DD2 is only 13 so no real jobs available yet

Have been looking for a pic of the dress online, but can't find one.

It is yellow, with pink sort of flowers (kind of leafy things, but pink) with a pink ribbon round the waist. It has an A line shaped skirt bit and it's got net covering the dress. It has a couple of underskirty things to make it stick out a bit and it looks gorgeous.

If anyone's in Primark you will be able to see it in the kids section. (twas only four quid )

Marmite - will tonight be the first time you have seen Connor? We will want a full report. Fred is right, you have to pay the CAT sub thing. It was a fiver when I paid it, so I presume it still is.

Fred - are you bringing the older two to the meet up? Or just dd3? Because I may leave dd1 at my mums if yours aren't going - twill probably be more fun for her than going googlie eyed at all our littlies.

Dropdeadfred · 05/03/2008 12:16

I think I will leave them at home squonk...they too get a little bored at doing only littlie things and in Brighton that means they would cost me an arm and a leg doing the 'big 'girl' rides etc

Phono, I have replied to you on FB

OP posts:
fryalot · 05/03/2008 12:24

I will, of course, give her the option to come, but I suspect that without the incentive of making two new about-her-age friends, she will choose to stay at my mums.

Hello Zs, have you missed me? Had a busy day and no sleep and feel all lightheaded, I think one beer will send me over the edge later into the land of nod! Thank god DH home in just over an hour.

Had an unexpected brief visit from FIL and BIL earlier , they were intending to go somewhere else but satnav buggered up and sent them towards us. They were only 20 mins away when they realised so popped in. Talking of which, I have a tomtom one satnav which is FABBY FABBY FAB. I love it. I still haven't read the instructions and it gets me wherever I want to be. I used it last time we went to Brighton and it was a godsend, I would have been cacking myself even more otherwise. I looked up car parks and then put in the postcode of the one I was aiming for so it took me straight there. Am scared this time though as for some reason I ended up having to get DS1 and his Zapp up some stairs after parking and I CANNOT do that with all three and double buggy. I think I just missed the road-level exit though as I am pretty sure I went back in without having to do steps.

DS2 is crying. He projectiled earlier. It is now 45hrs since his last poo. I think he has a sore tummy. DD has conjunctivitis again. DS1 is fab.

Marmite v v pleased connor is doing so well. Can prob go to post office on Friday morning (or poss tomorrow on way to docs to pick up eye drops) so let me know if you want me to post clothes. Should I send to your address?

marmitemad · 05/03/2008 20:34

Egg - yes please with posting the clothes to my home address, will give you the postage when we visit next Friday (am getting slightly worried about finding my way to you now although managed to find you in Putney without sat nav). Sorry to hear about your pants day and poor ds2, have you tried giving him some very dilute prune juice (I know he's still young though), I hope you are tucked up nice and sleepy in bed now .

Have just got back from hospital, SIL looks fab considering and connor is out of the incubator in a normal cot (although still in the high level special care part), he is so weeny but totally gorgeous. I stupidly left my camera in my coat pocket on the ward.

Squonk - dress sounds lovely. thanks for letting me know about the cat thing, I didn't realise they had changed the rules.

off to eat some cornflakes now and then early bed for me .

oooh forogt to say, that dh & I had a chat on the way to hosp, he thinks we should ttc when my af returns and is regular. I suddenly feel a little unready.

fryalot · 06/03/2008 07:50

morning all.

Egg, of course we missed you re parking in Brighton - we put the car in the park & ride then got a bus into town. Twas a bus that you can wheel a pram onto, so that may be easier for you. If you want to do that, we could try to co-ordinate the time we arrive there and I could help you

Marmite - good that Connor's out of the incubator. We need photos (if your SIL don't mind of course ) When you say unready...? Is that just nerves or do you really think you're not ready?

Dropdeadfred · 06/03/2008 09:36

morning all...Marmite we too have a Tomtom and it's brill!!
Very exciting to hear that you re considering ttc..do you think the wobbles are just nerves?

Well done little connor!!! what amazing progress!!

egg - hope you have got more sleep last night?
