When I first said I was meeting Squonk in the pub in Putney last year DH was a bit but now I think he realises the sheer ENORMITY of all our friendships!!!

Phono at DP, ok not his fault he had to work but still....

Squonk at DS. Thought mine was bad! Saying that I was up at 4am exactly with DS2 feeding him, but it was his first feed since 10:15pm so not too bad (DD was not so clever mind you).

So... do I qualify for a zimmer or wot?

Buggy board, have got the new 3G Lascal one with extender bits so that I might actually be able to use it on the Powertwin (although will be walking practically horizontally so that DS1 can actually stand up). My HV said she used that one on her Powertrack 360 and it worked ok.

DD just did the most ginormous poo, or should I say lake of poo... she was crying and I was upstairs sorting out my sock drawer (yes really) and ignoring her crying, when I came back down the whole room smelt of poo. DS2 is kipping nicely.

Ooooh only 5 weeks until DTs go to nursery . I do feel a teensy bit guilty, ie, one of those "why does she have kids if she's going to send them to nursery" types, but then I think of those HOURS when I can sleep / clean / exercise / shop / drink jack daniels etc etc .

Got on exercise bike yesterday for first time since last May. I only did 10 mins but I felt quite ELATED! I might weigh the same as pre-preg but I am v wobbly, esp on thigh area. Ought to be on the bike now but wanted to catch up here first.

Not played scrabulous btw, and am forcing myself NOT to click on link as must NOT get sucked in.................

and I obviously bought myself a birthday cake as well

He does now think though, that on the basis of my one visit to meet you guys, that I now know Brighton like the back of my hand and he will insist on asking me if places are near the pavilion... or is it near the pier. I'm like - how the feck do I know? and he says "well, you've been haven't you?"

erm... yeah, but...

Egg · 03/03/2008 10:21

LOL at mashing food for the oldies

fryalot · 03/03/2008 10:22

egg - you are NOT one of those women that has children then shoves them in nursery.

One day a week, while you catch up on MNing housework and sleep more housework will not hurt anyone.

God..I LOVE dd3 going to nursery...!!! I really love being in a nice quiet house and getting some undisturbed mn'ing tidying done

Thanks Z's, I knew I could count on you . Just that I am not even working so I really do feel a bit cheeky, and it is a real waste of money that should be spent on more important things but DH had suggested putting DS1 into nursery three days a week which would have cost a fair bit anyway, and I would rather not do that as I think he is too young (obv would do if I was working...), so am getting shot of babies for a day instead!

Did I tell you we have booked a HOLIDAY to center parcs?????????? I am very excited. Only 3 months to go, we are off the week after we all go to Brighton. Have any of you ever been? It is not so darn expensive if not in school hols so we can make the most of it while all DCs are still small (nursery is open 51 weeks a year so no school hols anyway).

Dropdeadfred · 03/03/2008 10:34

I have a friend who has been to center parcs about 4 times..they love it - but they do advise taking your own basic foods (tea bags, milk, sugar, Jack Daniels etc) as the shops there are excessively expensive (captive audience ).

OP posts:
fryalot · 03/03/2008 10:35

ooh, a holiday

Which centerparcs are you going to? There are two or three, I think...

re: nursery - tis not a waste of money if it keeps you sane (and if you can afford it, obviously ) You could employ a cleaner to clean your house, and a laundrymaid to do your washing, and a PA to do your MNing for you while you keep all the kids at home, or you could pop them in nursery, where they will learn to interact with other children, learn to be away from you for short periods, be perfectly safe and looked after by people who have (hopefully) had more than three hours sleep the night before and you can MN clean the way you want to.

Yep we heard that too, will def take our own supplies (need to buy a bigger car before May or we can't actually go on holiday..., either that or hire one for the week!). Will pack a lot of caffeine based products and a lot of alcohol based products and a lot of sugar based products.

Oooooh forgot about my TWO boxes of chocs, must see how many are left (DH and I attacked them last night whilst drinking red wine).

Oh seeing Fern n Phil just reminds me as they are talking about him, is it just me or does Prince Harry look rather phwoooaarrgh in his army fatigues??????????

Bloody hell we are zooooooming along today, missed those last two or three posts before I posted my last one.

We are going to Longleat, was quite keen on Elvedon but much further to drive from here and don't want to be in car long esp as DS1 sometimes gets a bit carsick and don't want to have to stop to feed babies or anything. Have heard it is a bit hilly at Longleat though so DH will be pushing the Powertwin whilst carrying DS1 up the hills!

Egg · 03/03/2008 10:39

Yes Prince Harry. Ok he is a mere baby compared to us OAPs but he looked really handsome and rugged.

Or have I not had enough sleep?
