we got to 1000 again....made me reminisce about our original thread all those months ago

No no no! Would not be STRANGE for us to be there, would be lovely, was trying to make you feel better for not being able to invite us, would obviously be over the moon if you could.....................................................................

Have decided that sleep is no longer necessary. Who needs sleep?

DS1 woke 6 times last night. That's 3 times more than DTs. However he settled rather quicker than they did. They were well behaved mind you, but very very snotty, esp DS2 who had to drink his milk in 10ml bursts and stop to breathe .

Also he went over 24hrs without a poo, had one in the night which came in three stages a few mins apart. The last bit was streaked with red blood. Should I be worried? If it was DS1 2 years ago I would have panicked. Will call the HV today after searching MN archives for info.

How is everyone else today? Did you see that there was a thread with SQUONK'S name in the TITLE???? It was on the dadsnet bit as well! Those boys are talking about our Squonky!

fryalot · 11/02/2008 07:37

morning

not had time to catch up on thread - just popping in to say hello before I go to look at the dadsnet thread that egg was talking about

hope everyone's doing okay and I'll be back properly in a week...

Have been thinking of you all

Egg · 11/02/2008 07:48

Ah did not actually look at thread last night and realise it was from a couple of matches back when things were NOT as good. However things are much better now for Man City! I love it when Man U get beaten .

Dropdeadfred · 11/02/2008 08:57

Ooohhh how exciting!!!!
Also on the frontpageit is Squok's toptip..our little Zappata is famous [proud emoticon]

Egg, I ouldhave panicked too..sounds like he might have got a little constipatedand maybe got a tiny tear somewhere in his teeny bottom. I would mention it to the hv. Are they drinking much water at the mo?

I would have loved to invite everyone to the wedding and had the hugest party ever, but will have to make do with telling you guys everything about it and showing you pics...oh and sending you all cake of course!!!!

morning ladies,

have been busy again this weekend went on sewing machine course on saturday which was good but tiring. dh was on baby duty and managed to let dd fall out of the back door and graze her face (he went outside to get a cloth to mop up the upturned cat water bowl and just thought he'd see what she did when she got to the door ).

Yesterday we went to an underwater photo session (part of our swimming course) which was not fantastic but hopefully we managed to get one decent photo. Bought some choc doughnuts and came home to find dh making a shepherds pie (he never cooks) .

Bad night here with more inconsolable screaming from dd at 1am, despite Medised. I am considering joining the sleep is for the weak thread and did lurk for a while on sat night.

Egg - which ds is having the poo trouble? I would monitor and see if it happens again before worrying too much.

Fred - I am already looking forward to seeing wedding photos and tasting some cake.

Squonk - how exciting, a thread in your own name and your tip on the front page, I take it that comes from bitter experience?

Thanks for the af advice, I am off to the gp in 10mins, still no sign but I feel really PMTish (if there is such a word).

Dropdeadfred · 11/02/2008 10:50

Marmite..do let us know how you get on.

Wasn't it a lovely weekend..we were out and about all wkend at a zoo then swimming in dp's bro's pool.

Phono just a quickie as DD crying, how old is your DS? I kind of have a feeling he is about 18 months or a bit older? My DS had very few words at 18 months, and none were recognisable to anyone but me. He really started to get better once he started nursery and can now string two and v occasionally three words together (although not always recognisable ones...). He only learnt "ballooooooooooon" last week, and until then balloon was "ba", which was kind of similar to "ba" for ball . He says terpeter (!) for tricycle... Some words he says perfectly though, like Nemo and Dory .

gp says I can't be pg as 2 negative tests and has given me a form for blood tests to check hormone levels. She said it is very unusual after being previously established to suddenly have problems and that I might need to come off it for a while to come back to normal.

I feel like we really didn't make the most of the lovely weekend but my head and nose were just not up to walking to the park/any other outside activity. I am going to force myself to go for a little swim today though.

Egg · 11/02/2008 11:43

Ok have settled DD.

Well DS1 is at nursery and I called to tell them something earlier and he was apparently ok and had been having some milk and a biscuit and asking for MORE (Phono, this is a current fave word, along with NO).

DS2 is very very snotty, struggling to have milk but managing it, just in short bursts. He has had a bit of a runny poo this morning but nothing since, so am waiting til doula arrives at 2:30 to ask her advice as she knows everything.

DD ok, bit snotty but dealing with it better than DS2, who probably has "manflu"...

Marmite sorry you had another cack night. We really ought to have a nighttime party one time, we could sit and drink champagne whilst texting each other and dealing with sad DCs.

Are you back from docs yet? Any news? Hope all is ok and nothing to worry about. oh, to answer your question, it is BOTH DS's who have poo issues. DS1 never poos, and when he does it hurts and takes ages (prob cos he stopped eating veg a few months ago), DS2 had bloody poo last night. DS1 is currently having a spoonful of lactulose (prescribed by doc) in his morning and evening milk but so far no difference, of course it doesn't help that he is not EATING.

DS1 does drink a fair bit of water. DS2 has been offered water, he drinks about an oz, but he always brings it back up. He is sleeping happily at the mo anyway, finally looking peaceful.

I am RAVENOUS today. So far have had:-

2 cups coffee
1 large bowl fruit n fibre
1 Eat Natural bar (fruit and nuts and honey etc)
1 prepacked fruit salad from Tesco
1 WHOLE mozzarella ball thing
1 slice gouda cheese whilst making DH's sandwiches

Now wondering what to have for lunch and it is not even midday .

I ate 10 (yes TEN) jaffa cakes in one sitting on Saturday .

Anyone would think I was pregnant, except I haven't had sex since OCTOBER .

Egg · 11/02/2008 11:48

ooh marmite you are back! Well I guess that although you "secretly" wouldn't mind another little one, it is good you are def not pregnant if the drugs you are on could have affected the baby. Strange though. I am not keen on the pill. I took it from age 22 til 27 and then decided not to anymore, not sure why as was not about to start trying for a baby, and had no obvious ill effects from it, but prefer not to take it. Not sure what we will do now, as we had talked about DH going for the snip but a) have been told it can take about a year for it to actually happen once you set the wheels in motion and b) think it might be a bit too final.........

Don't want an implant thing or injection. Don't want the pill. DEFINITELY don't want coil or any other IUD. Don't want to be sterilised.

Leaves us with condoms...

Sorry if TMI.

Phono I think at 18 months your DS is just perfect. Esp the "one more" comment that I missed the first time I read your post. As I said my DS1 only managed two words together ("that way") about a month ago. He now says a few two word things, and is getting better every day with new words. He says "tattoo" for thank you and "peas" for please .

blood test is on Friday (earliest they could fit me in ).

I wasn't going to go back on the pill after dd as I had been on it for 14 years (with no ill effects). I was all set to get a coil until the placenta trauma after which I decided I couldn't face anyone rummaging down there so went back on the pill. I still don't think I want a coil or the implant and neither of us like condoms, almost makes me think about going for casual ttc although I would have to come off my arthritis stuff if we did want to ttc.

I also feel slightly disappointed that gp didn't do another pg test.

whats the aspirin method???

Egg - def up for a champagne party, I still have 2 moet bottles left from last year , small one which went to hosp and didn't make it out of the bag and large one which we are saving to drink on her birthday. Am also currently dropping huge hints to dh that I would like a bottle of veuve which is my favourite.

marmitemad · 11/02/2008 13:36

forgot to say I did 20 lengths which is not brilliant but better than the big fat zero I did last week.

Egg & Marmite..buy a Clear Blue Fertiity monitor..that way you get to know what your danger days are and steer clear (or go for it Marmite!!!)

OP posts:
marmitemad · 11/02/2008 14:34

how does that work then? and where can I get one from?

Dropdeadfred · 11/02/2008 15:30

Its expensive cos you have to use about 10 ov sticks every month...but I feel so much healthier knowing I am not taking the pill etc

You can buy them from Boots but I bought mine from Ebay store brand new.
