I have been in a project management meeting all morning. Its the big presentation on Thursday (although I am going to miss it as we are at swimming ).

Just eating my lunch after managing 24 lengths today!

Yes, Phono how are you feeling?

marmitemad · 12/02/2008 13:16

Phono - can you be unavoidably delayed at work?

dd still up 3 times last night and I only wake up when dh gets out of bed. He threw a right wobbly on Sun night when I got up after him so I am just leaving him to get on with it now. He says he will prod me if he is too tired to get up but the problem is he doesn't know the different cries. I can usually tell when there is pain involved and will reach for Nurofen/Medised. He is incredibly stubborn about not giving her medicine which is not to say that I am very liberal but I think it has its place.

don't really think the cranial osteopathy has made any difference .

Roll on 28 more teeth quickly, preferably 2 at a time .

what days do you work Phono?

marmitemad · 12/02/2008 14:06

Have got ashtons but I find it difficult to get it into her (despite the screaming mouth) as she just thrashs around.

Phono - you are ok for the meet up on Friday 30th May?

Dropdeadfred · 12/02/2008 14:17

Phono...she's not wicked..she just has a way of annoying me. She shows no interest whatsoever in out wedding..other than suggesting i could wear a suit from Dorothy Perkins...!!!

Hi girls! Fred would not risk the ovulation thing myself as it really would be a disaster if I got pg again. a REAL disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did use them briefly when TTC DS but they cost too blardy much to do them each month, and you get sooooooooo worked up when your DH/DP is not up for it on the right night......

Marmite my DS1 woke about 6 times last night again. Sometimes he settles back to sleep, sometimes needs a cuddle. We used to ignore him and he always went back to sleep but now he doesn't . I feel awful if we ignore him when he can hear us (me) getting up with the babies all night but it can't really go on like this, even though he is only up for a few mins each time.

Doula left at 2:30. DD woke at 2:31. DS2 woke at 2:32, DS1 woke at 2:32, although thankfully went back to sleep.

DD been fed.
DS1 still in bed.
DS2 crying, thinks it is time to eat but it's not even been three hours yet . No wonder he is so fat. His head is huuuuuuuuge.

Did I mention that I can't wait for 30 May meet up?

I dislike my MIL about 97% of the time. She drives me up the wall. Phono I used to pretend the train was late etc if my inlaws were going to be there after work. I would esp delay as often it would be me getting home before DH meaning I would be stuck with them without him (they had a key and would let themselves in until I changed the locks ).

Better see to the screaming baby. Was trying to watch Escape to the Country .

We bought our last house from them (they had owned it when they needed somewhere in London as well as their Devon home) and got it at a knock down price (would never have agreed otherwise as it never really felt like ours as MIL seemed to think she still had a stake in it somehow), so anyway, they obviously had a key as they had owned it and they never gave it back. BIL had one too. I hated it. I got a new front door .

Dropdeadfred · 12/02/2008 19:58

Good for you Egg!!! Dp's Mum just walks in our house if the door is open. I hate that! Now I lock it...

morning ladies, another beautiful sunny day here and I'm stuck at work .

Its funny hearing the MIL and key tales but good to realise we're not alone in frustrating experiences.

We gave my Mum and MIL front door keys when we had the alarm fitted last year in case they needed to sort it out while we were out/on holiday.

When dd was about 3 months old, MIL just suddenly walked into my dining room and gave me the fright of my life (while I was sat at PC on MN ). I was absolutely mortified as our bathroom is right opposite front door and when I'm on my own I don't shut door so could have been on the throne when she walked in , anyho she said I did knock/ring bell so next time we went round to theirs we knocked before opening door (side door is never locked when their in) and she said oh you don't need to do that but I think we made our point. she still lets herself in but I am more prepared now and she makes more effort with ringing bell/knocking. Interestingly my mum also has a key but never lets herself in when I am there unless I leave a sticky note on the door.

Phono - am sending you some diversion vibes for tonight.

Dropdeadfred · 13/02/2008 11:48

Marmite...either drop the catch or leave your key in so she can't do that - it'sso annoying.

I feel ad now cos dp's mum calledlast night to say she went to the docs with a recurring stomach pain and they have sent her for emergency scans and tests today as she has an enlarged liver...dp is very worried.

Fred . Don't feel bad. I often think about how I will feel about badmouthing MIL on here if anything happened to her and you have hardly said anything abouts yours. My dad had tests for enlarged liver last year, we were v worried but it turned out ok (well it turned out he had bowel cancer but far better than liver cancer and v v mild bowel cancer that is just being monitored so we were relieved).

Anyway, fingers crossed all is ok. Please let us know.

Phono - REAL FIRES? Are you sure you are trustworthy enough . I would be just checking out the firemen .

Dropdeadfred · 13/02/2008 19:11

Thanks Egg...how are your gorgeous babies? Any more pics?

Phono..I would defo be checking out the real fireman..

OP posts:
marmitemad · 13/02/2008 19:59

we ahve to go on fire training every year as we are a chemical company and get to practise with fire extinguishers on real fires but alas no hunky firemen .

DH has gone to cinema to see Cloverfield and I am baking loaf cakes that I am hoping to turn into number "1"s
