oh yes, I ead an article in Closer about a woman who was into it
so freaky
like she was alittle girl who never grw up and her dh was like 'well yes I , um, kiss them goodnight, um, but I don't really understand it, um, erm,but I love her, so i do it anyway'

Rather shamefully, I suspect it will reinforce all my predjudices about the people who collect them

I am both hugely freaked out and mesmerised by their realness.

It's a doll that is unnervingly life-like. Probably a bit sad really, for people who've lost a child or can't have any dch. Or the type of people who really believe that their dogs are human... know what I mean?

Oh I know someone who lept a doll and treated like her baby. Had a cot and clothes for it. Very sad.

500 dollars is quite cheap for some of these dolls! Mad, utterly mad. If I had an artistic bone in my body (I don't) I'd be busy rebirthing- has to be easier than going out to work
