.....Jessica?

It has to go with Charlotte and Eve, suit a surname starting with M (think a few of you know the surname now from Facebook)

Middle name is Rae, that's a definite as always want to be reminded of her birth and the sun RAYS streaming through trees as I was in labour etc.

Have tried Ella, Lauren and Elizabeth and all the shortenings but not for us. Tried random others but the ones I like D doesn't and visa versa.

So, what do we all think of Jess / Jessica?

Jessica Rae M--- ?

Is there a better name for her out there and if so where the hell is it and why haven't I found it yet?

Can you come up with a better alternative? If not Jessica it is.

TC xx

How about Kitty?

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 15/10/2007 09:21

LOL!! Not at the name but that here you are again, up against the naming deadline

I do like Jessica (although it reminds me of my 6' tall 17 year old niece now rather than a little baby ) and it goes with all the other names.

JARM · 15/10/2007 09:21

Love it!

But i have a Jessica! She tends to be called Jessi a lot, so that is an alternative

good choice i think

TrinityRhino · 15/10/2007 09:22

definitely Jessica

...and did you really give birth to a kitten

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 15/10/2007 09:22

Kitty's a short version of Katharine isn't it? I think we tried to persuade TC to go with it last time...

LilBloodRedWantsGore · 15/10/2007 09:22

Jessica is lovely!

Thomcat · 15/10/2007 09:22

I'm already regretting asking you lot! LOL!

Really like it TC - goes well with middle name, surname & other dds.
I know 3 girls called Jessica that were very cute babies too!

dooley1 · 15/10/2007 09:23

I love Jessica and Jess (I'm assuming we're not talking about a kitten)
Also love Beth, Bethany Rae goes well together but you might have already discounted that with thunking of Elizabeth.
We did actually have Kitty on our list.
Also Freya. Not sure about Freya Rae.
I like Sophy/Sophie too and Rebecca.

t you.

Thea.

(Jessica nice though - I know a Jessamy)

MrsJohnCusack · 15/10/2007 09:25

I like Jessica a lot
Jemima keeps popping into my head instead, though, no idea why. Did you ever consider that?

Thomcat · 15/10/2007 09:26

Ohhh, ok, I dared to read! Not to bad a response!

I love Sophia but my cousin who I am massively close to just names his baby girl that a few weeks before Kitten arrived.

Love Josephine too but that's our niece.

It's still on for Jessica at the moment then.

Jessica is lovely!

tortoiseSHELL · 15/10/2007 09:27

(And of course there is a cat reference, if you shorten to Jess )

dooley1 · 15/10/2007 09:27

it doesn't matter what you call her, she'll always be Kitten in your house

Thomcat · 15/10/2007 09:28

We seem to like quite classic names so we aren't keen on Freya or Thea etc, no offence, nice names just not suited to us.
D doesn't like Jemima.

i like Martha and Norah but D thinks I'm mad, but then he likes Peggy and Pippa!!!!!!!!!!!

Definately go with Jessica, or Rebecca, although Rebecca Rae may be a bit much! (I am sooooo biased!!)

I like traditional names too, Katherine I like.

If this one was a girl, she would have been Emma, but we know he is a boy!

MeltingandScreamingIcarus · 15/10/2007 09:30

Phoebe means bright and radiant btw goes well with Rae and her birth.

Thomcat · 15/10/2007 09:30

Ohhh I love Phoebe but think after screaming it up stairs for a few weeks I might go off it.

Like Imogen too actually but D doesn't

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 15/10/2007 09:31

Norah doesn't go with Rae. That "Rah R" in the middle is odd.

Thomcat · 15/10/2007 09:31

D abd I both have a sister each called Kate ? Katherine and a sil called Kate so that's out!
