.....Jessica?

It has to go with Charlotte and Eve, suit a surname starting with M (think a few of you know the surname now from Facebook)

Middle name is Rae, that's a definite as always want to be reminded of her birth and the sun RAYS streaming through trees as I was in labour etc.

Have tried Ella, Lauren and Elizabeth and all the shortenings but not for us. Tried random others but the ones I like D doesn't and visa versa.

So, what do we all think of Jess / Jessica?

Jessica Rae M--- ?

Is there a better name for her out there and if so where the hell is it and why haven't I found it yet?

Can you come up with a better alternative? If not Jessica it is.

TC xx

Jessica better than Sadie.

I think Jessica sounds better with the surname too.

nappyaddict · 15/10/2007 15:01

nappyaddict · 15/10/2007 15:02

my cousin has just named her baby girl roxana. i like it. we call her roxy which i think is really cool.

covenhope · 15/10/2007 15:04

Don't like Sadie.

Isabel/ Isabella?

nappyaddict · 15/10/2007 15:05

tawny means light too as does the irish name sorcha.

what about ora or roshan? i remember those being possibilities of my cousin. she was looking for a name that meant ray of light too.

i do like lucy/lucina/lucinda though aswell.

Thomcat · 15/10/2007 15:19

Can't do Lucy - not a popular person in our lives.

I still really like Sadie.

Jury is out though.

sadie, jessica or phoebe for me then.

i think my other suggestions won't be traditional enough for you.

ledodgy · 15/10/2007 16:56

No not Sadie! Sadie Rae sunds like some sort of sun protection you know she'll be nicknamed shadey rae in school!

lilibet · 15/10/2007 17:05

Jessica Rae is sooooooooooo much nicer than Sadie Rae

Ds waiting to go on computer, asked what I was doing - told him I was naming a baby

First suggestion Michael -

Second suggestion - Laser

Third suggestion - Abigail - getting better

But I just thought that his gf is called Emily, which I also think goes nicely with it

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 15/10/2007 17:32

I still like Betty but Jessica is lovely too

hunkermunker · 15/10/2007 17:35

How about Amelie? Didn't you like that when you were naming Kitten2? Amelie Rae's v pretty, I think and goes with the other girls' names and surname.

Will see you soon! xx xx

Fimbo · 15/10/2007 17:54

Actually Betty Rae {dp's surname} sounds very cool and hip

Jessica is lovely. I have a Jessica and she is lovely. She has been "Jessie" ever since she was a bump but we most commonly call her Jess now (she's 8) as do her friends, teachers etc.

I like Jessica Rae. My Jess is Jessica Jaye.. or as she calls herself "Jessie-Jaye"

What have been calling her since she was born? You had the same trouble with Eve didn't you?

pointydog · 15/10/2007 21:34

{Wasn't Jesse Rae that Scottish claymore-wielding one-hit pop wonder back in the 80s?)

nappyaddict · 15/10/2007 22:31

i prefer amelia rae to amelie rae. rolls off the tongue better.

hunkermunker · 16/10/2007 17:47

nappiesLaGore · 16/10/2007 17:51
