Cadbury - hope you don't mind me doing this, but feel some good old mn support and cyberhugs might help you get through the next fortnight!

Cadder's dh is going off on business tomorrow and she'll be coping alone with dd and ds. With her birthday falling during that time you can imagine how she might be feeling!! So can we all get together and help keep the lovely Cadder's chin up and let her know we're thinking of her, her dh (while he's away) and her family! Thank you in advance mners and can we bump this up lots too over the coming fortnight!

Good morning Cadbury, Hope you slept well. One night over anyway. Glad you heard from dh and hope you have a good day today. I know for some reason Sundays are hard. A lot of dhs where I live work on the oil rigs and all of us wives say that. I go to my mums for Sunday dinner when dh is away which is nice as I don't see her often enough. Anyway hope you have a nice day. I will try to keep posting but the pc is playing up so if I don't thats why, but will be thinking of you.

Morning Cadbury! As you can see, I'm still at home, nursing a slight hangover combined with tiredness - late night!! Friend didn't turn up and unless something terrible has happened, I'm hopping mad!! I want to be angry, but don't know if I can as I've heard nothing! Grrrrrr!
Just to add insult to injury, ds and his chum following their sleepover decided to make a chocolate sauce (homemade with choc flakes and water) filled balloon bomb and attack sis who stayed over too! Funny, you may think, but the mess in his now choccovered room and on my sofa is definately not funny and I want to ground him for life!!

Hi all. Thanks for your enquieries. Dh has reached his next destination in the foothills of the Himilayas (sp) to discover they have a mobile phone network coverage there! He texted me to say he was having a rest before events this evening but was fine. On landing at New Delhi last nigth, he discovered that his luggage was still in Istanbul and he'll have to wait a few days for it! He has one change of clothes and his toiletries until then. Bloody bagage handlers!
Me and the kids had a nice morning at church and then lunch and a dvd at my parents house. Dreaded coming home to an empty house and all the washing up but it had to be done.
Feel the need to go bluewatering tomorrow!

How're you doing now Cadbury? Am hoping everyone settles to bed in good time. Glad dh is ok - pain in the a* re his luggage - at least it seems he had the good sense to pack a change and toiletries separately! Also nice he has mobile coverage. Still feel the burning desire to visit BW? Am broke at the mo, but could probably stretch to a mug of coffee and just enjoy window shopping!

Are you around this morning Cadbury - hopefully not and you're out doing something nice!

Sorry I missed you today Aero. Are you coming tomorrow morning? Bluewater was good but the busses and delays on the A" weren't. Kids were pretty well behaved considering the waiting involved. Dh is visiting another mission hospital tomoorw and then back to Delhi, and hopefully to his luggage too! Actuall, he didn't have the sense to pack a change of clothes and ash things in his hand luggage, I did! This exact thing happened when he went to Korea in July!

Hope you're doing well, he'll be home soon enough

Cadbury · 19/10/2004 09:31

Hi everyone. Not doing too badly at th moment. I think it'll kick in more when the weekend comes around. My dd is really missing him and blows hot and cold all the time. Trying to keep busy without spending too much money (not including the £90 online supermarket shopping from last night!- I blame wobblyknicks, she kept me distracted drinking wine while I put all kinds of naughty things in the trolley! Thans for asking guys.

Hi cadbury, I've just read this thread and just wanted to add my support. You've got a good mate there in aero but you know that already!

My dh goes away for a week in November to watch american football in the USA. It was my idea but I'm still dreading it.

What does your dh do? Is he a doctor?

Aero · 21/10/2004 13:43
