Cadbury - hope you don't mind me doing this, but feel some good old mn support and cyberhugs might help you get through the next fortnight!

Cadder's dh is going off on business tomorrow and she'll be coping alone with dd and ds. With her birthday falling during that time you can imagine how she might be feeling!! So can we all get together and help keep the lovely Cadder's chin up and let her know we're thinking of her, her dh (while he's away) and her family! Thank you in advance mners and can we bump this up lots too over the coming fortnight!

Hi cadbury, hope you manage ok, well i know you will, we just have to dont we! I know i found it hard when dp went back to working 7 days a week after i had second baby, i didnt think i'd cope at all but i soon got used to it, not quite the same i know, but that still stressed me out a bit. Hope you have a good rest tonight.

Goldfish · 16/10/2004 20:26

You are welcome Cadbury. I too have a pizza in the oven and will be sneaking a bottle of lager in a bit. My 2 ds are nearly 11 and 9 so are not in bed yet Worse luck but once they are gone I will just chill for a while and I am shattered. Peace at last.

melsy · 16/10/2004 20:46

Let us know when hes called to say hes landed, my stomach goes whirly whirl until that call!!! Hope ds is in bed now an you are eating din dins. Just cheering myself up with the most gorge guy in queer eye right now living tv !!!

Aero · 16/10/2004 21:18

Oh dear. Where was she coming from Aero? Was she meant to be staying over at yours? Haven't heard from dh. DD and her friend have stopped larking about and it's all gone quiet in there so thats a good sign. Just put ds down, had a very small and not very tasty pizza and a muller corner which I'm sure I'll pay for in a couple of days. I needed the comfort food though, and it was that or order from Dominos which would have been disasterous! I really don't want to go to bed without hearing from him. Thanks for your indulgence guys.

Aero · 16/10/2004 21:36

Coming from Penge. Still no word and mobile switched off! ot expecting her to turn up now and will be seriously p**d off if she's ok and just not bothered to call - on the other hand, I'm worried something has happened to her!!
Worse than that, the kebab has turned up with NO salad!! Kebab now getting cold waiting for it! hmph!! Would rather have had WW pizza!! Still hungry now!

Hi Cadbury - Hope you sleep well tonight. Let us know when DH has called. We all want to know of his safe arrival too. I'll catch up soon to check your behaving yourself (not too much chocolate!! )

Cadbury · 16/10/2004 21:41

Oh dear Aero. Have you called her home? I'd eat the kebab. These thigns won't wait. Is missing salad a terrible thing then?

Aero · 16/10/2004 21:53

A good kebeb isn't complete without salad and loads of burger sauce! Sis has just went ape on the phone and demanded a whole new order!!
I called back to say if it arrives v soon, we will accept the order (have kept it warm in the oven! Annoying nevertheless!

Cadbury - is Harman a friend of yours to then?

Aero · 16/10/2004 22:23

Cadbury is a friend of mine Pupace. I've met Harman a few times - know her from mn! Wow - how exciting - do you know what she had?

OP posts:
pupuce · 16/10/2004 22:24

Yes I was her doula (long story.... wasn't actually there for the last bit!!!) but she had a boy. I am sure (well I hope) she'll post the story. She is going home tomorrow as baby swallowed a lot of meconium.

Aero · 16/10/2004 22:27

Pupace - that's lovely news! I've been thinking of her a lot lately and texted her a few weeks ago. Glad you could be there for her and hope all is ok. Will text her soon and hope she posts here too!

That's lovely news about harman, pupuce.

Glad dh is there safely, Cadbury I hope you sleep OK (I never sleep as well when dh is on call...which is odd, as he keeps me awake snoring when he is here).

pupuce · 16/10/2004 22:40

Just in case you are interested.... a few of us are getting her a present (£5 each).... if you are interested in joining in - contact me via CAT
Not mandatory AT ALL.... just thought I'd let you know

Sorry to hijack this thread Aero and Cadbury.
Sleep well Cadbury - I too hate it when DH isn't around.

Aero · 16/10/2004 22:51

Oh Cadbury, I am so sorry to hear how low you are with DH being away. I am sure that the time will fly by for you. I'm sure the evenings and weekends must be the worst time for you all.
If I can be of any help at all to you, please let me know, things are as hectic as ever here but I am sure that I could squeeze in another coffee or two one day!
Chin up! {hugs from Dingle}
