mumsnet gossip.....update wanted just for custardo who has amazed the universe by missing it all despite being here everyday thank you

i hear coddy has gone dont know why( do tell coddy/jane whoever you are) - ks went - i know that one - traceyp went as she felt the mn tone was being lowered - anyone else go?

anyone brave enough to point out the clicks to me?

there was a "why are you all so quick to condemn" - that i nearly nearly got what was going on - but didnt quite - as like all of these threads inc. " am off" types they always refer to the "other" thread - not naming it.

any other gossip?

missed loads myself haven't been on since friday - must be the cold weather makes me rise too quickly to other people picking on other people...nothing gets my goat more...nice to see you again xx

oh, didn't realise TraceyP had gone too I missed that. She was lovely and a real support on the feeling low threads. Really hope she comes back. This is all such a shame.

I don't get it either - think maybe it is something to do with the moon and hormones!!

I am pissed off at being stood up last week by Countess so if anyone sees her or speaks to her me and Kayleigh have gone off in a huff (well not really but tell her that for us!!)

Coddy came on as Janel03(?) and put up a thread about her next-door neighbour's cleaner. It was a wind up - fairly obviously - but it was really well done and very funny. Then there was an opposing thread where Becca came on as the neighbour but she got taken seriously, I think, and it got a bit nasty. Then it turned out - I think - that it was planned by Becca and Coddy (msn?) and all was revealed on another thread! that made it sound a bit cliquey and imo spoiled it a bit. Phew!

You see what I don't get is where in the Mumsnet philosophy it says that Mumsnet is a place for people to take the piss and attempt to wind others up? I am not deliberatley trying to upset the protagonists, but I do think that a very public forum is not the place for piss takes or bitchy comments - some people get offended by the so called wit, and others of us are just very bored by it.

Agree with Prufrock; it did upset me a bit that TraceyP's leaving thread turned into a piss take (not about her but if I were her reading that I probably wouldn't want to come back).

I in general think people don't get flippant or bitchy or quick witted about things that people are concerned about or things that are very serious - to me there is a lot of love on here (hey man ) and support and it is a lovely place - sometimes people take the piss and sometimes things get out of hand but its not the end of the world and people get so much from it.

Please don't kill the humour - it is one of teh things that has got me through the last 2 years thats for sure!!
