Hello Mumsnet
YorkieHusband here. This is the first time I have been on here, although I have heard about it from my wife, Yorkiegirl.
For those of you that know, I was made redundant over the summer, and have just got a job at Marks and Spencers. Before I start my training next week, I have to do a bit of research on M&S. I am sure there will be some of you who hate M&S with a passion, but it would be helpful to me if we could try and keep this as positive as possible. No slanging matches if you please!
Anyway, I need to know what your favourite M&S product is and why. I hope lots of you reply to this and help me out!
Thank you very much
YorkieHusband

Fave food product: cod cakes. Always have them in the freezer for a quick dinner.
Fave non-food products: easy reader fairytales for children (ds loves them so much we bought the whole set) AND the maths and English workbooks for children with reward star stickers.

My (American) mum is with Zebra: her favorite M&S product is the men's socks.

plain black stretchy bootleg trousers (with a flatten your tum thingy in them) I have 5 pairs!

pink stripy high heeled wedge sandals from last summer. They are comfy and trendy at the same time.

cotton knickers are best, I bought some silky microfibre ones and they are always falling down!

Apple sponge cake.

italian pasta sauce.

YorkieHusband, could you PLEASE ask them to bring back beef in peppercorn sauce, and that gorgeous thing they do near Christmas ... Smoked gammon with apricots in the slots? Ta!

Where is the M1 service station??

carla · 10/10/2004 22:37

Skate ... you aren't taking the *iss, are you ??????

carla · 10/10/2004 23:05

Skate, for someone moaning on another thread about how horrible we all are, I think the M1 is exactly 180 degrees left. Or right.

Don't often go in, but ALWAYS buy a pack of cherry scones

Hi Yorkiehusband, hope its going okay, we live in Dubai and we have M&S here!!! Still buy my underwear at M&S. We have a limited food range but could they send the black and white liqorice(sp)things over...miss them heaps, used to love their sandwiches and pasta salads at lunch time and chocolate covered ginger biscuits.
