I am really disgusted at the amount of swearing on a lot of threads. This is a website about being MOTHERS, the highest calling you can have in life. Please clean up your language and find a better way to express yourself.

As a teenager my mum told me off for swearing and I, like the clever little fucker that I was, came back with, "Well, I think there are far more offensive words. Like Tory. And nuclear deterrent. "

God, I was a chippy little shit.

nailopish · 18/05/2007 21:59

"is such language really necessary?"

oh that is fucking hilarions

colditz · 18/05/2007 21:59

Golly Gee, I'll never utter a curse word ever again, I prooooooooooooooooooooomise.

Guides honour and all that

misdee · 18/05/2007 22:02

UCM · 18/05/2007 22:03

EHM · 18/05/2007 22:03

even my own mother doesn't tell me to stop swearing..well she might but she would say 'for fuck sake stop fucking swearing' oh no i've done it now

BandofMothers · 18/05/2007 22:04

Surely not UCM. If he couldn't even swear he wouldn't do that with his mouth

DimpledThighs · 18/05/2007 22:04

well this is one fucking cunt of a thread eh! I much prefer swearinf to fluffiness.

LoveAngel · 18/05/2007 22:04

UCM, in my limited experience ahem men who interupt conversations to correct your language generally don't give good head.

TheArmadillo · 18/05/2007 22:05

jesus you are patronising Thalia.

And do you know what my responses are to your posts. Not making me think twice about swearing but making me a) want to swear and b) getting angry at the attitude that mothers aren't 'normal' people. That they are somehow seperated from others.

Also this is a site for parents and those that care for children, and tbh anyone else who wants to join in, not just MOTHERS.

OTher people have started threads like this that have made me think and moderate my language. But then they haven't been so patronising.

Anyway who made you queen of the world?

BandofMothers · 18/05/2007 22:05

Hmm, that's an appropriate emoticon

DimpledThighs · 18/05/2007 22:07

lol band of mothers!

hatwoman · 18/05/2007 22:11

my favourite sweary conversation. (which I'm sure I;ve told before)
dd1 age late 2s or 3: "fuck"
dh: "no, dd that's nice"
dd1: "fuck"
dh: "no, dd, I don;t want to hear you say that again"
dd: "fuck"
dh: "if you say that again you're going straight to bed without a story"
dd: long pause. "shit"

how can you not be proud?

Carmenere · 18/05/2007 22:12

Pmsl hatwoman

MrsDiorKeanuReeves · 18/05/2007 22:13

pmsl!

Flamesparrow · 18/05/2007 22:13

We've clearly not spent enough time together Sparkler!

I have always been dreading the day DD calls someone a "guckin moron" (only just gettin her Fs)... mummy isn't the most polite in the car!

She did turn round today and tell us that Psychomum's son was being a spoilt brat ... I vividly remember calling her that before banishing her to her room one day. She has since explained that he said he hated her... which she had apparently said to me before I used the choice phrase

I get told I'll be put on the norty step if I don't do such and such NOW

UCM · 18/05/2007 22:22

Funnily enough my little darling doesn't swear but has been known to say 'Bleedin Ell' (DH, not me) on occasion. That is the worst thing DH says as well. I say the lot, try not to in front of DS though.

BandofMothers · 18/05/2007 22:22

DD1 3.5 also told me dd2 9 mth was being a brat. She wasn't so long discussion ensued about what being a brat entailed. Which dd1 had been a few days before.

BandofMothers · 18/05/2007 22:24

I think the worst thing dd1 says from me is Oh for God's sake. Which is probably very to some people, but I don't think it's a huge deal.
I don't swear in front of dd's very much at all and none of the nasty words, but don't see why I should curb my language when they aren't around, and I do tend to post on here as I would speak in rl. Mostly.
