Maida Vale. Just to make it difficult.

I cannot work out how the last move was made and therefore have to be cautious in my next move, which is to Bow Road. I won't stop for a curry on Brick Lane on my way, so as not to be late.

This is possibly shaping up to be one of the quickest game of games since the attempt to have 'speed MC' in 2004, which was ended with a move to Turnham Green and had to be aborted. I blame the consumption of too much beer beforehand with no-one having sampled any sloe gin that evening.

NotCornflakes · 12/02/2018 20:04

Ah, you set me me up for a double lateral spin nicely there, thanks!
So: Tooting Bec

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 12/02/2018 21:10

And this where I sneak in a crafty: Leighton Buzzard.

Efferlunt · 12/02/2018 23:04

Oh that is crafty! Takes several clockwise possibilities out of play. The best I can do is

Finsbury Park.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 12/02/2018 23:13

Oh there you all are! Thought everyone was on extended "holiday" again. Well the play is certainly swift, calls for an easy swivel to Angel.

SuffolkNWhat · 12/02/2018 23:15

The only option that isn't going to cause tail backs on the Odin line is Bank

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/02/2018 05:32

Is Croxley Green allowable? I've always been a bit hazy on the rules regarding the Met line after a martini or 3.

Andrewofgg · 13/02/2018 07:44

Croxley Green is allowed but it puts the cloud-name rule in force of three moves so Orange Hill it is.

The Squadron Leader is back in town. You have been warned. And she's got the poodle with her.

OP posts:
sashh · 13/02/2018 07:54

Well that puts us on track for...

East Finchley

MaudAndOtherPoems · 13/02/2018 10:00

Per ardua ad astra, as the squadron leader said so memorably at the quarter-finals in Valletta in an effort to defuse the brouhaha.

Penge West

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/02/2018 10:45

Penge West? Shock Watford Junction is called for here, I think.

Is it true about the poodle? I thought it was a malicious rumour!

SuffolkNWhat · 13/02/2018 10:56

The poodle is most definitely true and yaps all the way to Tottenham Hale

MaudAndOtherPoems · 13/02/2018 10:57

Even after all these years, it's hard to ascertain the truth or otherwise of the story about the poodle, as several of the alleged witnesses fled the country and the Supreme Court slapped a superinjunction on the rest. But, as you say, the rumours persist and one day the archbishop will publish her memoirs, superinjunction or not.

Theydon Bois

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/02/2018 11:12

Very clever move there. Hmmmm... Harrow and Wealdstone.

Efferlunt · 13/02/2018 12:16

Indeed Maud ‘Per ardua ad Asda’ as my Grandpa used to say on the way to the food shop.

That puts me in mind of

Kew Gardens.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/02/2018 12:21

Now I think that calls for a move to Fulham Broadway.

Andrewofgg · 13/02/2018 13:00

You metropolitan types have no get up and go.

Wolverhampton which is a very good place from which to get up and go.

SuffolkNWhat · 13/02/2018 13:52

Under the Treaty of Avon 1237 that gives me a triple pas de deux meaning I can call in the Circle runners, Don a deerstalker, grab a violin and hop over to Baker Street

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/02/2018 14:36

I may be running out of options - back on the Met line I go, to Northwood Hills.

MaudAndOtherPoems · 13/02/2018 15:16

I can trust that you won't need me to explain my reasoning here:

Norwood Junction

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/02/2018 15:48

I'm finding this increasingly difficult, and triple axle to Notting Hill Gate.

Andrewofgg · 13/02/2018 15:52

Maud If you or I explained your reasoning there's be a riot on the Brussels Metro, especially round the Bourse, outbursts of self-flagellation in Munich, and as for Barcelona, it's better not to think of it. Let's play safe, and they don't come safer than Ripon, do they?

OP posts:
PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 13/02/2018 15:54

Ripon? Indeed, very safe, I fancy a sojourn down the east coast to Lowestoft.

sashh · 13/02/2018 16:49

I see Lowestoft and head for Ikebukuro.

ForalltheSaints · 13/02/2018 18:34

All that way and yet you have not visited the Winter Olympics. So I shall move to Pyongyang and then a one stop Metro ride to Pongwa
