Inconvenient Cat strikes again - I was thinking about an early (or earlier) night when he jumped up, insinuated himself on to my lap, and is now kneading and purring his little head off. Just as well he's so cute...

LetUsPrey · 16/08/2017 22:35

I don't think I've ever had bread and butter pudding.

Can you move InconvenientCat really carefully? Really really carefully.

Managed to watch the rest of the episode. Sigh.

I should head to the hayloft. HBFs await

He;s overheated and moved off by himself. Result Smile

Hayloft for me too...

FancyFancy · 16/08/2017 22:52

Shock apricot, glad you're ok

Never had bread & butter pudding letus? Shock. You & ww clearly need educating Wink It is lovely stuff

Like helen, any dropped food would be hairy, so throwing popcorn is not advisable here either, but I'd probably still eat it - advisable or not Grin

LetUsPrey · 17/08/2017 08:16

Morning wenches.

How are you this morning Apricot? And MrApricot? Lots of gentle back and neck rubs from Athos for you. Well, not for MrApricot.

Outlander tonight (although won't watch until probably Sunday). I looked up Sam Heughan last night. He's 37! Doesn't look it Angry

TB was on BBC Breakfast at 8:41 talking about Strike - assume it is on listen/watch again, I'm just watching on catch-up before working... He He must have loved getting up for that... Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/08/2017 09:33

BBC Breakfast Strike interview - in which we learn that his favourite TV detectives are Columbo and Miss Marple (Joan Hickson variety), and that his parents would agree that he is as chaotic and messy as Strike.

Sock-watch - black and grey diamond patterns.

I'm sure some helpful soul will get it on YouTube shortly.

Hope all is well at Chateau Apricot this morning and there's no emerging bruising/stiffness etc...

Morning wenches. I've got a bit of a headache this morning, whether it's from yesterday or just a normal thing I don't know. This is such a nuisance. We handled the whole thing so badly, should have taken photos but because it was on a dangerous, narrow road DH drove further down to a lay-by to exchange details. I just sat there in a bit of a daze. We didn't even know where we were and had to go back later to establish the location. The guy took full responsibility and apologised. DH phoned the insurance company and they want the work done by their repairer but he wants it to go back to the manufacturer. Argh!

Anyway.... gutted I missed Tom's interview, but I'm sure it'll turn up soon.

Have we had this video from taken at the press roundtable last Thursday? There's so much I'm losing track.

Bread and butter pudding is lovely. Smile

FancyFancy · 17/08/2017 10:55

Morning.

Not in work today, so contemplating how to spend the day - may go to the cinema with DD.

TB that early in the morning?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/08/2017 12:53

Apricot Sad re headache, glad to hear all seems well otherwise (apart from the car) I don't think you handled it badly at all - you should always get to a safe place first.

I know what you mean about the Strike stuff - it's a ridiculous amount of publicity compared to what the BBC did (i.e. nothing) for The Musketeers S2 & S3

I am working still, on the stupid deadline for the people who don't reply to queries. FFS.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/08/2017 13:07

(Not that I'm not happy to see lots of publicity, obvs - it's just the comparison...)

Evening wenches.

Oh Apricot - you didn't handle it badly at all. Thing is, you think if I'm in an accident, I know what to do blah blah blah. Then it happens and brain goes pfft. Hope your headache and any other pains have subsided.

Wonder what time TB had to get up this morning. I remember seeing Paella on breakfast TV a couple of years ago. I don't think he'd been to bed though and had just strolled in from a night out Grin

And those Santi pics - FFS I wish they'd stop photoshopping wenches out of th pictures and replacing us with other women.

Lots of hugs for Apes.

How terrible about Barcelona Sad

LetUsPrey · 17/08/2017 19:31

Just seen the update re Barcelona Sad

LetUsPrey · 17/08/2017 19:51

BTW does anywench have any helpful hints for getting DS1 to get off his arse? I know it's his holidays but just generally I'd like him to be less lazy and actually help with stuff around the house without needing to nag him into submission.

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 17/08/2017 19:53

How awful. Sad

Thank you lovely wenches, I'm fine thank you, no after effects.

I've seen the Tom interview. He seems to look a lot younger as himself. I always thought Athos put 10 years on him. Isn't that studio in Salford? It would involve an overnight stay, he's really pushing the boat out with the publicity. Smile

Don't think I'll get around to Outlander tonight, will save it for later.

ApricotCrush · 17/08/2017 19:55

The awful is for Barcelona, not LetUs's DS1. No help really, sounds normal to me. Hmm

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/08/2017 20:46

Sad Awful news re. Barcelona. Have been out since 3:30, so that was the first I'd heard of it Sad

No ideas re. DS1 either LetUs - isn't that normal for that age? Mine has had the 'worst day of his life' what with arguing with friends, me being late to pick him up (because they finished early and no-one told us), tomorrow's play date being cancelled.... the list goes on. Sadly I don't have any magic wands to fix everything.

apricot - agreed re. TB looking younger when being a HF instead of HBF Grin

Have there been any exam results at Chateau Fancy yet?

LetUsPrey · 17/08/2017 21:04

You're right. I know you're right that it's normal. But annoying all the same. I asked him to bring the washing in today (the only thing I've asked for today). Four towels that's all. Brought them in and left them on a sofa. Could he not have folded them? He started to say that he didn't know how but thought better of it. Muppet.

Also, I'm going to miss the first Strike episode! Thought an evening out was the Saturday of the BH weekend. It's the Sunday!!!!

Hopefully there are celebrations for a NotSoMiniFancy!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/08/2017 22:11

Oh good lord. What do I do with a child who sobs inconsolably at the idea we are going to replace the car, because he 'loves that car'? What am I meant to do with that reaction? How do I deal with it other than to make non-committal soothing noises?!?

LetUsPrey · 17/08/2017 22:20

You're doing exactly what I'd do/have done. I also ignore a lot of stuff.

Finally getting round to watching Rogue One Star Wars.

Saw the trailer again for Strike. Squeeeeee!!!
