Oooo Wicked, lucky you! Have you got to the towel scene yet?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 12/08/2017 22:50

Saving that ep for tomorrow.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/08/2017 22:55

Right, have done film night and been out to watch meteors. Heading for bed now.

Hope Fancy hasn't died of excitement watching the 4x100 live - plus the women's too. Yay!!

ApricotCrush · 12/08/2017 22:56

I'VE SEEN THE TRAILER, IT WAS ON AFTER THE NEWS!!!!!!! Brilliant!

Sad for Mo and Bolt, but great for the relay teams.

LetUs, you're right to watch Jamie on your own. DH had a coughing turn in the middle of it, and then thought he heard something on the roof and had to go and investigate. Angry

But bloody hell!!! Will have to watch again ON MY OWN. Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 12/08/2017 22:56

I might watch that episode tomorrow too.

I reckon Fancy's voice might be a bit croaky now Grin

Watching NCIS. One of the female agents has had a sexy dream about Gibbs. She's trying to relate the dream to the other agents but keeps getting interrupted. I want details!

Morning all. This morning I have experienced that stomach-dropping lurch of dismay you get when you realise your favourite mostly-white T-shirt has got in with the colours wash... swiftly followed by relief that nothing seem to have run. Phew. (tbh I rarely both separating colours/whites, but DS had a new bright red T-shirt...)

Twitter has more links to Strike articles this morning (mostly because TBOnline is doing a sterling job of re-tweeting them:

www.dailymail.co.uk/home/event/article-4778646/amp/Event-goes-set-JK-Rowling-s-wizard-new-TV-thriller.html (Daily mail - arghhhhhhh )

Quite a funny one in the express:

There's one in Hello too, but there was absolutely nothing new there, so...

Apricot - didn't he say something about being aware of disability and the impact on day-to-day life, with reference to a relative with a chronic illness or something?

For those who can't be arsed trawling through all the articles, apparently JKR said she reckons that she has at least 10 more Strike books in her... (DH says: 'I hope they're not as complicated/revolting/unpleasant as the third one was' or words to that effect) and JKR told Tom what happens on book 4 Shock Grin

ApricotCrush · 13/08/2017 11:05

Morning. Wonderful to see Tom on the front cover of my Sunday mag. I know it's the Mail, don't judge. He seems to be all over the place today.

Yes, he mentioned a relative who had polio and had to have an ankle fusion. It's in one of my videos that I posted yesterday. Hmm

You're lucky with that t-shirt, if that was me it would now be bright pink.

LetUsPrey · 13/08/2017 11:09

Morning wenches.

Phew for safe t shirt!

Will read/view all links later, even if it means disappearing upstairs under the guise of "putting washing away" so I can read/watch in peace.

Hurrah for lots of publicity

For now I have just dropped DS1 off at sportingactivity, my tea is brewing and I am going to watch as much of Outlander as I can before everyone comes back!

OP posts:
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/08/2017 11:28

Hi wenches Smile

Tired wench here, crappy weather, think I'll just watch telly all day. I have fed mum's cat Torsten and done the food shopping so at least I've done something productive.

Enjoy Outlander Letus, is it the wedding night scene you're watching? Wink

FancyFancy · 13/08/2017 11:35

Morning wenches - bit of a late night yesterday as we stayed for the decathlon medal ceremony. Just because

Shame about Mo but teh relays were FAB Grin OMFG the roar when the crowd realised that we were in front of the Americans on the last leg - was spine-tingling. Also love the British women's team - so professional in teh race & so happy afterwards - I luffs them all

FancyFancy · 13/08/2017 11:52

He was walking round the track on the lap of honour shirtless & bare foot - I may have suggested that as he was nearly naked he may as well go the whole hog. DD was initially a little shocked and then laughed. And agreed with me Grin

LetUsPrey · 13/08/2017 12:09

It was indeed the wedding episode. And very much jolly excellently enjoyable it was too Grin. I may need to watch it again. Like Apricot. Yes, watch it again.

Oh I say Monsieur Mayer!

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 13/08/2017 12:13

Monsieur Mayer probably had 50% of the crowd melting into a puddle at the blubbing in the medal ceremony & when lying down exhausted at the end of teh 1500m & looking like he needed taking care of (nlt & ylt)

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/08/2017 12:28

I've heard about that scene although I've never watched it myself HaloGrin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/08/2017 12:31

Can you imagine if there were scenes like that in TM Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/08/2017 12:39

TOWEL TIME! TOWEL TIME!

ApricotCrush · 13/08/2017 12:41

It's not just a scene WW, it goes on throughout the whole episode with bits of flashback. Shock We were robbed in TM. Angry

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/08/2017 12:43

At least TeamA had Aramis in the river..., and topless Aramis in S3Ep6.

Still, we can use our imaginations... Grin

LetUsPrey · 13/08/2017 12:47
