Crappy day, collected DS2 from school. All okay until we're nearly home and he remembers he's forgotten a bag of sweets. Too late to go back and we're walking. Sulk and tantrum. My fault he forgot them apparently. The sweets I knew nothing about and asking him twice if he'd got everything. I sit down with a cup of tea, some trashy tv and the phone rings. Mother. In the mood for a long chat. Love her to bits but aaaarrrrggghhhhh!

I have been headless chickening for most of the day until school pick-up. Then DS had a fun afternoon playing with friends after school in a local park while we (mothers) chilled out with blackberry-flavoured Pimms (which was drinkable, but not in any notiable quantities) and gossiped.
