Blob is starting, always 3-4 days early nowadays. I feel really bloated and my limbs are sore, it's such a joy to be a woman I just hope it lays a bit low until tomorrow afternoon since I'm going to a giant car boot sale tomorrow.

Today we harvested 1.5 lb of cherries and they are YUM. And picked some raspberries and runner beans and blackcurrants...

Also, both hives have now been colonised by swarms - poor innocent little bees. Little do they know that I appear to be the world's worst beekeeper.

I think with Poldark they could have perhaps made eight episodes rather than 10 for the series. All the staring out to sea and those looks between Drake and Morwenna must be a full episode if you add them up.

Agree with apricot that the cutting to Dr Enys is a bit tedious, fewer scenes that were a bit longer so we knew some of the other characters & the background would make it more interesting.

Drake & Morwenna are cute, but not exactly steamy - he's too young looking for me & I can't fancy someone called Drake. When it comes to Poldark passion, it's Ross or nothing for me.....

I am still in holiday booking hell, btw. I feel that I need to share the pain. A friend we were meant to be seeing has turned out not to be available when we are. Argh.

apricot I will talk to the bees - I think you're meant to do that. I shall say things like "Are you completely sure this is a good idea? Have you seen the remains of the last occupants? Well if you're sure, but don't go blaming me when you all die out over winter, or lose your queen, or get raided by wasps, or get some horrific disease and die..."
