Afternoon. It's cooled down quite a lot here, but no rain yet.

Apparently yesterday was the hottest June day since 1976. I remember it well. We had two and a half months of heat, no rain, hosepipe ban, forest fires, failed crops and a sharp increase in food prices. And I was heavily pregnant with DD. It was exhausting. Some nights were so bad that I tried to sleep on a sunbed on the lawn. Then when I came out of hospital with her at the end of August we were plunged straight into winter.

Thank you wenches I've decided thst he can fuck off! And now I have four weeks off!! Wohooooooo

Ah yes, that's it. We have an old site in Uppsala where's there been sacrifices and stuff done in the heathen times. There's also an medieval church on site, it's really a gorgeous place. I used to cycle there and read a book in the grass.

Being very(ish in my case) pregnant in summer is crap - but I didn't have anything approaching the temperatures you had to contend with Apricot or Madame's mum!

Four weeks off Wicked! You totally deserve it. That looks a beautiful place. There's a similar thing we visit sometimes when we go up north Kilmartin Glen. You can go inside the cairns which was a bit weird. There's beautiful woodlands to one side and I try to imagine that people have walked through those woods and on the same bit of land where I am hundreds and hundreds of years ago. And then my tiny little brain goes "nope, sorry, does not compute"
