I've a battery-operated Nerf water gun you can borrow Helen.

Ironing done. Versailles watched. Ooooo! Totally up for a tea party with Marchal Wink

Thanks for the re DS2. It's okay now because DH had a word with him about it all. You know, had a word with him about his screaming, shouting, name calling, horrible attitude. And he had this word with him whilst he was off taking him to have fun at swimming. I'd suggested perhaps lose the swimming as a consequence of the crappy behaviour. Nope because that would make DH not The Best Parent wouldn't it. Forfucksactualsake.

although as they said in Friends "if it's not a headboard, it's just not worth it". I shall volunteer to test this theory tirelessly with a vast selection of HBFs.

We had a lovely meal last night, and calm has now returned to the house, but it still isn't back to normal. Sod it, it'll have to stay. Hmm

Boo for new loo, unwanted sports conversations and sunburn, and yay for accidental online purchases. Grin

There's an air show going on in these parts, it sounds like a war zone. I'm expecting the Red Arrows to dive bomb us at any moment. I still haven't got over the time we saw them at an air show on holiday once. SIL and I and our two DDs, who were only little at the time, all spontaneously threw ourselves onto the ground when it looked for all the world as if they were going to swoop into us. It was terrifying. Shock

FancyFancy · 11/06/2017 15:35

Afternoon - a marathon day of laundry & gardening for me today The thought of Poldark later is keeping me going however Grin I'm about half way through the latest episode of Versailles too & am very excited at letus's mention of tea with Marchal - please scriptwriters, let's have something for the heterosexual women who don't like slash or non-con sex FFS

Done some chores today, that's all, I have no energy today.

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2017 18:08

Pleased you had a good night Apricot. Not surprised you all threw yourselves to the ground - think I'd've done the same!

Yy Fancy, not even Louis has had much action recently.

Know what you mean Wicked. I've been slumped on the sofa for most of the day (when not ironing). Hayfever has really hit today. I can't stop sneezing and I'm knackered and miserable.

It's getting closer to Poldark time...

MadamedeChevreuse · 11/06/2017 19:51

Hello! It's been a pretty lovely weekend here weather wise. Went to themostamazingparkever with ds and friend again today.

Anyone been watching dr who this series? Ive only seen a couple. Worth catching up on?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/06/2017 20:08

I'm watching Doctor Who Madame, and enjoying it, if that helps?

I feel like a hippo - home made ice cream for tea [bloated emoticon] I have also been in the garden most of the day and might be broken. I will have to lie back (carefully) and let Athos attend to my needs. Excellent Grin

Hope apricot's back is continuing to improve... I am still looking at bathrooms and asking why you would want to pay £300 for a toilet (or more) from The Bathstore when there is a perfectly good one for less than £150. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2017 20:22

Also enjoying Doctor Who here Madame!

I have no idea what to do with DS2 any more Sad. His behaviour seemed to have improved so much these last couple of months, but this last week or so has been awful. Back to GP on Friday.

Will be watching Poldark tonight but on delay.

Badders123 · 11/06/2017 20:42

Could it be testosterone surge letus?
I've forgotten his age...
I still feel like crap and back to Dr tomorrow
Ds1s b day on Tuesday and we are having family around
I have to make 14 GofT cupcakes
I'm concerned about making grey buttercream 🍰

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2017 20:45

No idea Badderz. He's 10 and this behaviour's been going on for years. Perfect at school, fine for family and childminder. Not helped by me being completely knackered.

I'd eat the cakes and icing regardless of colour! They sound fab.

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2017 20:47

Just seen it's buttercream. Mmmmmm. Whatever you do, don't make too much and have to send it elsewhere....

Badders123 · 11/06/2017 21:22

Well it won't help you but I hope you understand that he behaves this way at home because he knows you love him and you are his safe space?
Lots of kids seem to keep it together at school/childcare and melt down at home.
You could try looking up calming exercises on the web? Lots of tips on breathing/distraction techniques?
(Sorry if you've already tried all this^)

I'm making 14 cakes as he will be 14 (14!! How is that possible!!?)

If there are any left I shall lob some in a jiffy bag for you 😁

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/06/2017 21:31

wise words from Badders
and Poldark for LetUs

I'm heading for a an early night...

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2017 21:36

I tell myself that all the time Badderz

I love buttercream. Bought a tub from the supermarket once and then discovered to my horror it had cream cheese in it Angry Envy

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/06/2017 21:40

Hmm when I said I was scattering HBFs... that was just generally, not that the force of my sneeze had knocked them over or anything.

I was going to bed wasn't I...?

Badders123 · 11/06/2017 21:48

Ew...cream cheese frosting???
🤢

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/06/2017 22:09

CakeWineGin for Letus?

I've eaten cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, it was delicious Smile

Looking online for hotel, it's so easy to just click on the next one, and the next one. Premiere Inn London Victoria might be a winner.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/06/2017 22:10

And it's not supposed to be a ? after Letus ffs Angry

Badders123 · 11/06/2017 22:27

When I rule the world cream cheese will be banned, among with vegetables in cake (courgette cake? Fuck off!)

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/06/2017 22:28

Don't you like carrot cake?

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2017 22:34

Vegetables have no business being near cakes. The rest of my family disagree especially re carrot cake.

Thanks for all the HBFs Helen - I do like a good scattering Grin

Also thanks Wicked for the CakeWine and Gin 😘

Very much enjoyed Poldark

Hayloft for me. Night wenches x

Badders123 · 11/06/2017 22:49

No I bloody don't and in my glorious reign it will be banned!!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/06/2017 22:59

I made sure there was no cream cheese frosting on the Cake Letus Grin

FancyFancy · 12/06/2017 00:14

But I love carrot cake Shock And I defy anyone to dislike my raspberry amaretti cupcakes with cream cheese topping

Am watching Poldark now - disappointing lack of topless farming activities so far
