Well that was one of the funniest conversations of my life - needed to phone my mother and thought I'd give the land-line a try - picked up the handset, dialled number, hit call, and put it to my ear.... to be met by bemused voices mid-conversation and wondering what the noise was:
"It sounded like someone dialling a number"
"erm - it's me, I was trying to call my mother and I seem to have joined your call..." We had a very nice chat, established that BT have been working in the PlaceWhereWeLive and have clearly cocked up somewhat, because we now have a party line Sadly no enjoyable Rock Hudson / Doris Day screwball confusion went on, but it was still very amusing.

In other good news, I saw a cobbler today who reckoned that my split-soled ankle boots are fixable - hurrah! If I can eke them through to mid-summer, when the shoe-shops will be selling boots and snow shoes again, I'll be laughing.

And now, I am heading for the hayloft - quietly so as not to wake up LetUs.

Tomorrow I shall have another thrilling day in the BoringOfficeJob which has been much improved recently

So I've been a bit meh lately, my current job finishes this friday and I havent got anything lined up. I got offered a job at my old place but they wouldnt let me do it part time, even when I asked for 4.5 days a week, which is near as dammit full time ffs.

Anyway. Headaches pretty much every day these days so it's probably for the best. Thus begins a new, skint, healthy, yogatastic, low sugar and caffeine, boring existence for me, in a bid to get into a position of vaguely normal, employable health.

Going to watch a Midsomer Murder, we're up to date with everything else.

Watched a documentary about a murder of a 4 year old boy 20 years ago and two brothers of 5 and 7 years of age was said to have confessed. In this documentary you can see hearings with one boy at the time with no parent or lawyer present, at one time the DCI leans over the 5 year old and asking very leading questions and is very stern, it's quite schocking to see.

This probably means that the boys are innocent and the real killer is still on the loose. Last ep next week.

Red flag. Real life crime programme AND small child in peril. I don't bloody think so. I have enough stress in my real life thanks.
