Morning wenches.

Hope the updates didn't take too much longer Helen.

So, back to work today. Yep, that's where I'm heading. And I'll obviously need these drinks and these snacks and this supply of HBFs to take with me.

Bye LetUs!!!!! Have a lovely day being at work and not being here at all Wink

Nothing to see here. Nope. that noise is just me leaning against a squeaky door.
re work Sad I took this week off as well (use it or lose it type thing.)

My phone has not yet taken over the world Fancy, though it still thinks it has two copies of every song on my phone FFS, and is displaying some strange icons. Next step is to do a factory reset and see if that helps Shock Confused Obvs I will do that later. Confused

Hope wicked's back is feeling better.

Morning, another beautiful day out there & I already have washing on the line I hung it out last night

Visit to the dental hygienist for me this morning & then off out for another walk. With sunscreen this time - I was slightly red on the back of my neck yesterday.

I shall then return for more research - I may have to revisit some previous test participants in the name of scientific rigour

MadamedeChevreuse · 10/04/2017 09:18

helen have you got a new phone then? What did you go for?

So first day of being off work with ds but Im fecking knackered. This is not going to be a restful week. We've decided to use the holidays to tackle the thorny issue of him still not being dry at night. I bought a v expensive bedwetting alarm and we used it for the first time last night. It went off twice. Cue changing sheets twice in the night.

Anyone know how long this might take? It could be months apparently... Sad

Something about burly men in uniform and small children ...... I think I get a bit broody Grin

Urgh Madame... my nephew wasn't dry for years. I think my DB and SiL managed it by waking him up at about 1am every night and dragging him off to the loo. He was also in pull-ups. Flowers Sounds like awfully hard work. Sad

I don't have a new phone, I'm trying to sort mine out because the trauma of buying a new phone is much higher than the trauma of doing factory re-sets and stuff.

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2017 10:16

Completely see your point Wicked Grin

Madame - we had this with DS1. Had to wait until he was about 7 I think for medical intervention. Ended up on meds and with an alarm. It does eventually work. If you haven't already done this, put a waterproof sheet with a bed sheet on top, then another waterproof sheet with a bed sheet on that. Helps a lot with nighttime changes.

MadamedeChevreuse · 10/04/2017 10:21

Thanks letus, that is a great tip. Actually he has bunk beds so the sheet changing could be a lot worse...

How long did it take with your ds1?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/04/2017 10:22

la-la-la-la. Nothing to see here - move along folk...

Good point re- dual sheets...

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2017 10:36

From rubbish memory, I'd say he was reliably dry before he was 9. Have you spoken to your GP?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/04/2017 10:45

Lots of threads about it on MN Madame - e.g. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2617277-To-ask-if-youve-had-a-5-6yo-bed-wetter

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2017 10:53

Also try www.eric.org.uk and the NHS page about bedwetting.

LinkedIn says I am celebrating 7 years at BoringOfficeJob
I'm not sure that 'celebrating' is the word I'd use Grin

Badders123 · 10/04/2017 13:15

Madame
My brother wet the bed for years and in the end I think the alarm sorted it but this was years ago - I'm sure things have moved on since then!
Been to town with mum and ds2 so my purse is a lot lighter!! 🙄
New shoes and trainers etc for ds2
New t shirts for both dc
A couple of bath bombs for ds2
Im shattered 😖

MadamedeChevreuse · 10/04/2017 14:51

GP was hopeless letus, I went to see her a year ago and she basically said "ooh I dont know / cant help, look at ERIC?" So most of my info has come from ERIC and mn. I think I asked on here and you recommended ERIC then. I rang them a few weeks ago and they were really helpful. However I lost the notes I took from the phone convo. Blush Bought this alarm cos it seemed to be get good recommendations everywhere.

Ah well...guess it's about digging in for the long haul till it's done...

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2017 15:16

Thinking about it, we went via the school nurse (not specific to the school but connected to it IYSWIM) and she referred us to an enuresis doctor who we saw at a local health centre.

It is a pain though and you have my sympathies

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/04/2017 16:11

Trailer is out for the next Doesn't look like any version of Ragnarok I've come across, so I will ignore the title and call it 'Thor 3' in my head Grin

Evening wenches!

I'm exhausted!! We've had DGS all day today and he's only just gone. We're both worn out.

Sympathies Madame. We used to 'lift' our two when we went to bed and put them on the loo. It worked pretty well, but it depends on the child, I suppose.

Oooo, Prison Break season 5 starts tonight. It finished in 2009 when the protagonist died, but apparently he wasn't dead at all. Confused Wentworth Miller was my previous TV boyfriend, he had 4 years of my life. I belonged to a fandom and we had meet-ups. Don't know what happened to them all, I'm not in touch with any of them now. Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/04/2017 18:31

OooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooohh!!!! I seem to have fixed my phone via the miracle of factory resets and other magic Grin

Hurrah - no need to replace the fecker now. Just need to get all my settings back to sanity rather than buzzing at me every 5 seconds to say it's doing something...

Hurrah for magical working phone Helen!

Apricot - never watched it but I do recall he had rather lovely eyes

Just watched that trailer. Can I just say that I am totally on board with Thor in chains? And I love Jeff Goldblum.
