Zombie's Journey - A Wedding, A Final Christmas and Planning for a Wake

ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

Please join me.

I'm just waiting for the kettle to boil so I can prepare a hot water bottle and then head upstairs to lie down for a while. I've had some scrambled eggs so at least there's a bit of food in my tummy.

Zombie, I'm sure you will have a little weep, I would too. Their visit seems to of gone so quickly, hopefully maybe they can return again soon ?
I am sorry that you are having discomfort today. But when you see your doc I would think they would adjust your meds so that you aren't in pain.
You need to get the "magic medicine" and make a cake !!! That may help you.

My friends mam did use cannabis when she was going through chemo it was the only thing to give her an appetite.

I'm sure I've read it's only prescribed for MS but I could be wrong.

I still have contacts from my misspent youth although I'm not much of a baker tbh. I'm anti drugs as a rule but there's a lot of evidence to its pain killing qualities.

Oh Zombie I'm sorry you're in pain. DH can vouch for port's painkilling qualities if you've got any in. He's got a stress fracture in his foot and port got him through Christmas day. Cry all you want. Flowers

Just de-lurking to say please do speak to GP or hospice nurse tomorrow. There is so much they can tweak or add to the mix with regards pain relief. Lots and lots of options.

I hope the hot water bottle and some sleep help. Flowers

I discovered that by lying on my right side I was able to get comfortable enough to sleep. Sitting back up hurts again but I desperately needed a pee. I may ring my GP tomorrow and see if I can go in so they can take a urine sample. My pee was very, very dark and I suspect it may have blood in it. A UTI would certainly explain the recent pain.

I'm just going to take my bedtime meds and then head back to bed.

I should have some "magic medicine" arriving in a couple of days.

Sleep tight. I think I may have delivered a lecture about magic medicine tonight - or associated products. There may have ben rolled eyes. I cannot really participate in arguments never having tried it.
