Zombie's Journey - A Wedding, A Final Christmas and Planning for a Wake

ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

Afternoon.

Yesterday was such a good day that I slept for over 12 hours. I think I got up once to use the loo and did wake several other times but just rolled over and went straight back to sleep. I haven't slept for that long in one stretch in several months.

That is good to see Zombie, must be a combination of relaxation, happiness and adequate pain killers. May it continue for you today.

Here it's been flobbing on m'granny chair with the odd potter to unload and reload the dishwasher now all the electrics are working. I might be orfff for a little snooze now, either that or we'll be watching Mrs Brown's Boys...

How lovely to be that relaxed

I have spent the afternoon helping to prepare and then eating a lunch of turkey risotto with salad and garlic bread as cooked by DP in his DM's kitchen (which is a feat in itself due to her having a new one last year that we still can't get to grips with!). DM, DMiL and I were giggling like guilty teenagers at some dirty comments that I couldn't even begin to remember now, whilst DP was just looking embarrassed. The whole afternoon was just lovely as opposed to yesterday, which was much more formal as the rest of the family were there. Sometimes, it's not where you are, it's who you're with

It's mostly who you're with I think?

I honestly cannot remember a time in my life when I have been as content and happy as I am right now.

That's entirely down to who I'm with.

Save me some of that for breakfast Allalone please, I gave my mother a bottle of Baileys and forgot to get one foe me.

She gave me a bottle of Triple Sec which has been very acceptable drizzled on the pannetone.

This here weather of yours is most enjoyable. Sunny, mild, air all fresh. I live next to a bloody great forest in Forrin but here in East Anglia tis all soft.

Morning! I only had a miniature of Bailey's and no Maltesers, now I want one!

Bloody Marys or prosecco with pink grapefruit juice, croissants with cheese and ham or smoked salmon and cream cheese ~ that should set us all up for the day.

I don't do breakfast unless I'm in the Sainsbury's café, I've had mini turkey and stuffing pasties, DD will have a chicken and stuffing sandwich, DS will have chocolate pancakes. My phone wanted to say "chocolate pancreas*!
