Zombie's Journey - A Wedding, A Final Christmas and Planning for a Wake

ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

I have DS2 in bed, DD playing Fruit Ninja for 10 minutes then bed.

Hoping the Movicol did the thing and you got away lass.

Managed to fuse some electrics here, so am looking forward to an early New Year electrians bill. Ho hum and hey ho. It'll set the electrician up nicely for Easter

The Movicol God blessed me. I felt able to drive by about 11.30 am so we headed off to Shrewsbury.

We had a totally awesome day.

In addition to my sister-in-law, brother-in-law and niece there were another 20 or so extended in-law family members and close friends for champagne and canapes between noon and 2.00 pm. I was settled into a comfortable chair with my hot water bottle and a pint of water. Jason and Shea were the stars of the day and everyone adored them. Quite right too! By 2.15 pm everyone else had left and SIL, BIL, Niece, the kids and I settled down for a quiet chat before watching the Queen's Speech at 3.00 pm. That was British Christmas first number one for the kids.

By 3.30 pm we were sitting down for Christmas lunch. There were quite a few further firsts for the kids: Christmas Crackers, bread sauce, sausage stuffing, and Christmas Pudding to name but a few. They loved it all.

Present opening occupied between about 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm. At that time we left to come back home. J & S managed to stay awake for about 20 minutes after we got home before heading up to collapse into bed. I'm still going fairly strong but I suspect the hammer will fall before too long.

This was the Christmas of one's dreams and which leaves lifelong happy memories.
