ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

Just read The Night Before Christmas to my DD17, silly sentimental eejit that I am. Feels weird not to be cooking tomorrow (at my brother's). Will only see DS25 sometime around Nee Year as he's away working. Hope everyone had a lovely day(s).

Am sitting by the fire. Other pleasures include going to the 15th C pub after shopping with children, first time ever I think I impressed FidBoy1. First time also I didn't roll my eyes at the boys having to carry ID in Germany - he could order me v large gins & t. Rarely gets checked o'er there, can't buy a sprout here without an ID check.

I breakfast first on s rolls or m pies then later on vast amounts of bacon with gallons of tea. Annoying FidLets try and argue about my reading the paper at breakfast (no screens/reading - must converse) but I told them it's the law that if you have a proper breakfast and a proper paper then you must read it.

V much enjoying being home. Phalanxy festive greetings to all with extra to Zombie.

I had a fairly good night. Until I woke at 08.00 in abdominal agony. I managed to crawl downstairs and took Oramorph at 08.30. I've only now just managed to work my way through the rest of my morning meds.

We were supposed to be leaving for Shrewsbury in about 20 minutes but that has to be delayed until I feel well enough for the drive.

I think (and pray) that most of the pain is due to intestinal back up and that yesterday's Movicol will clear that in the next hour or so.

Oh Zombie sorry to hear that. I did pray for you at mass thus morning. Went to the 8 o'clock, got the 9.30s in and seated (along with my lot) and am home to make smoked salmon sarnies, get the turkey out of the fridge have a quiet half hour.
