Zombie's Journey - A Wedding, A Final Christmas and Planning for a Wake

ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

Please join me.

He had his hip done nearly five years ago, he has to work as he us not at retirement age yet. He was put on a back to work physio prog after his op and has had no problem at all with his new hip.

Not only does he have to climb ladders he has to grovel around in rooves too ! He was told the correct way to turn by the hospital. It was his own fault he fell, he had left a roll of cable at bottom of the ladder, stepped down, cable turned over and that's when he fell ( he is an electrician )

Just coming in to catch up on the news of the Zombie family Sounds lovely and cosy and warm.

How are you doing your roast lamb Zombie? I've got a thread in Food/Recipes asking for tips. It's what DH is cooking tomorrow.

Tummy aside, what a lovely couple of days lass. I have to admit to a slight leaking around the eye area. I blame the smoke from the fire.

lin oh dear. He's very lucky it's just a bruise. Arnica helps them go down quicker.

bath it looks worse than it feels apparently , but I think it's horrible, he isn't in any pain and was checked out at doc. He even showed my friend this morning 😀 Never have so many seen his bum !!!

We've just had our Xmas Eve dinner, watched Arthur Christmas. DS has put out the Mr Kipling pie (we - I mean Santa- don't like too many mince pies), tot of Jack Daniels & a carrot for Rudolph.

Gosh lin your poor DH, that's a prize winning bruise alright, how brave he is being saying it doesn't hurt much!

Ahh ikl that's brought a lump to my throat remembering when DS and I used to put out a drink and a carrot. He's grown up now, but he was such a lovely little boy.

DS2 and DD have out a bottle of Taste the Difference Celebration ale, 2 Fox's white chocolate chunkie cookies (because FC expressly requested chocolate chip cookies when we went to see him ), and a carrot for Rudolph.

It's now a v famous bum and an awesome bruise. But happy Christmas!

Oh memories. I had to put mince pie, carrot, milk in the porch because my daughter was frightened of the thought that santa came down the chimney!! So he had to leave the presents there too! 🎅🏻🎅🏻 Happy days 🎄🎄🎄

Night phalanx. I'm leaving the dc and grandma to it and toddling up to bed with a small brandy. Need to stuff the world's smallest turkey tomorrow.

It's nearly bedtime. The kids have just gone up and I won't be far behind them.

They have transformed my kitchen. They accomplished more in 2 hours than I would be able to do in 2 weeks. They were most complimentary about the roast lamb dinner. It was a joint effort: I mainly put the joint into the oven, mashed the potatoes and poured boiling water over the gravy granules. ZombieLad was in charge of prepping the broccoli and carving the joint. ZombieLass prepped the potatoes and set the table. For once everything came together at the same time. I then supervised the clearing up before they relaxed with a bedtime Bailey's Chocolat Luxe.

I have a few more meds to take and then I shall go up as well.

I'm just back from the pub after consuming several ales small pub last orders ar 10 Fortunately DH has done stocking and all other presents.
