ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

That's sucky about the insurance, Zombie. IIRC your son lives in the US? If so, depending on his insurance company he should be able to get a 'foreign travel' rider added to his policy that will cover things should 'something happen' (which it won't). We got one when we went to Canada but DH did all the 'leg work' so I don't know all the ins and outs, but may be worth checking out?

It might be an urban myth but to my knowledge if there's an emergency anyone with a valid licence can drive your car. (Like if you went on a day out and you broke your leg and simply couldn't drive home, ZKids could definitely drive home!)
I don't know how to check this.

It's really a stupid system here.
In Hungary the drives are insured, themselves. And the cars are insured separately. So when I had my driving licence but not a car I could still drive my dad & my friends cars because the cars had insurance and so did I, independently.

Hi Zombie. Have a wonderful time with the ZombieKids and Zombiecats,, and a fabulous Christmas. Have fun getting to know your new DIL and opening your parcel (your self restraint with it has been amazing ).

Hope the insurance is sorted out soon. If it isn't, enterprise car rentals are quite cheap and speedy to sort out.

Your happiness really comes across in your posts. It's so heartwarming to read. It just goes to show that spending time with loved ones really is the true meaning of Xmas (so if your PIL are miffed about IOUs, tell them to FOTHFSOF).

So the kids went up for their nap. Within half an hour I was sound asleep and only woke up half an hour ago.

So, the plans for today are out the window. As soon as Shea and I finish our wakeup coffees, we're heading to Craven Arms to Harry Tuffins and the GP surgery. Then we'll drive to Bridgnorth for a Wetherspoons supper (breakfast).

Yay for sleep though!

I am giving you all a pic of my Dh,s bum ! He fell off a ladder on Monday, and fell onto a corner of a wall. It was onto the hip that he had replaced. There is no damage but the bruise is horrendous. It is now starting to go further down his leg too. He dosent mind me showing you, I think he s proud of it !! Everyone who comes in he shows them !
