ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

Zombie, I haven't posted much on your threads before, but I do peek in, basking in the warm, fun, loving atmosphere you and your Phalanx have made in here.

I just wanted to say, your happiness at hearing that the ZKids have landed and are on their way was an huge, shining joy to read.

I've just sent the kids up for a nap. They didn't sleep on the plane and they're shattered. I should have sent them up earlier but...

...I rang my insurance broker to have ZLad added to my car insurance for the week they are here. What a fucking palaver. After 20 minutes of confirming that I really am me, being warned that we must tell the truth or ELSE, then speaking to Jason to get his details it turns out that the broker can't process this without speaking with the insurers. That was well over an hour ago and I'm still waiting for her to ring me back. When the hell did something so simple become so complicated?

Not amused. We'd hoped to pop into Craven Arms for a full English, a bit more shopping and for me to collect the PIP form from my GP. If I can't pick up the form today, the surgery isn't open again until next Wednesday.

Can you phone the insurer direct?

Frustrating Zombie but we had the same when we tried to add a relative to our insurance whilst they were here on holiday from Oz. It was a no-go as he wasn't resident in the UK at the time even though he's a UK citizen. Couldn't be done. Hope you have more luck. Otherwise, maybe a hire car will be the answer.

Temporary car insurance might work too.

All Zombies must be together by now, have a fabulous time.

If they haven't rung back by 2.00, I'm just going to ring the broker again and tell them to forget it.

That may well be the answer, Singing. It's just that the logistics of the things we have planned make that a bit difficult.
