Hope those patches are doing the business Zombie.

As for Scrote, he sounds a right obnoxious bastard. Perhaps we could put some of those Amazonian fish in his bath, the ones that swim up the penis and make life very very painful? Xmas Grin

Fatty You seem to be be having a dreadful time you poor love. By the sound of it you are well rid of the uncaring arse. Your Mum sounds a star though!!

iklboodolphRedNoseReindeer · 20/12/2016 13:46

HRF - what a wank spatter your ex is! May he also be afflicted.

Have a rum & choc chip flapjack. I made a test batch this morning. DH has just eaten three Hmm

ImtheChristmasCarcass · 20/12/2016 13:51

Jeez, what a nasty bastard!

Hoping you're feeling a bit more the thing Z. Maybe you should have a friend make you some festive 'special' Xmas brownies. 😜

OhTheRoses · 20/12/2016 13:54

HerChristmasFattyness · 20/12/2016 13:54

PacificDogwod · 20/12/2016 16:38

Oh my, now I am really sorry I asked about ScroteBag! Shock

It's that kind of behaviour that makes me want to believe in karma...

Today, I have had my nails painted in the stylee of Dorothy's shoes and the dental hygienist has tortured me for a while.
I bet we could hire his services for Scrotey... Grin

Mummylin · 20/12/2016 16:56

ikl I tried to pierce it , but couldn't even do that. But Dh wasn't going to be long as he was coming home between jobs anyway. So he did that and I asked him to reach down my other bag of flour, which he did ( I'm a short arse ) and managed to knock a new jar of mustard out of the cupboard, smashed and then went all over the bloody floor !!!
But anyway mince pies all made. 2 lots have already gone to their homes as my brother was here and so was my niece and baby, so they took theirs with them. I must confess to already eating a couple !!

Mummylin · 20/12/2016 17:01

Zombie, are you feeling any different with the patches ?
Yes ,I agree with christmascarcass some brownies or cake made with " special " ingredients. A friends mum had oil capsules made with the same special ingredient !

iklboodolphRedNoseReindeer · 20/12/2016 17:04

Flipping heck Lin - what a pain.

The tester batch of rum / choc chip flapjacks has all gone. DH has asked if I'll make a bigger batch tomorrow. With more rum cos he won't be driving after 3pm tomorrow.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 20/12/2016 17:18

I remember your mountain of mince pies last year lin Grin.

Hope the patches are working Zombie.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time Fattiness Flowers

marriednotdead · 20/12/2016 17:47

Good luck with all the baking palaver! I've been let off the mince pie run this year but may have to make 2 trifles.

There is a form of karma I reckon.
Have heard that ex is off to sunny climes to stay with his mum for Christmas, taking his best mate with him. Ex's fruit loop sis has now arrived there from another continent unexpectedly which means there's no longer 2 spare bedrooms. Yup, slightly homophobic ex will have to share a double bed with a man Grin

Mummylin · 20/12/2016 17:53

Haha married I found that amusing ! Hope your ex does too Xmas Grin
BBB I seem to of inherited the task from my mum, she used to always make them , and god knows how but when she died. It then became my job !

Allalonenow · 20/12/2016 18:54

I'm not a great believer in Karma, but sometimes I see a hint of it....

Ex cleared off with a very much younger model, she was so exciting!

For exciting read extremely volatile, and he liked life to run smoothly. Before long he had developed large areas of painful eczema, and couldn't bear to be touched at all, he attributed this to the stress of his new life!!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

DeepAndCrispAndEvenTheWind · 20/12/2016 18:58

Sorry your ex is such a ginormous wazzock, zombie...

DeckTheHallsWithLimbsOfZombie · 20/12/2016 19:45

Evening.

It's a bit of a mixed bag to report.

I still need to top up the pain relief with quite a bit of Oramorph. I may well need to increase to 2 patches on Thursday unless there is a big improvement tomorrow.

Last night I found an enlarged lymph node on the left hand side of my neck. I wasn't looking for it; I felt it when I was cleaning my face and neck before bed. It's still there today so it wasn't my imagination.

I've decided that high on the to do list for the new year is to get a hospital bed for downstairs. It's not that I can't still "do" stairs just that it would be nice to be able to get as comfortable as possible downstairs where I have the TV and laptop. And where I can hear if someone knocks on the door. I need to go to the Craven Arms sorting office to collect a parcel because they tried to deliver while I was upstairs having a nap yesterday.

On the plus side, my appetite is improving a bit.

HerChristmasFattyness · 20/12/2016 19:52

Ooh I'd have loved a bed downstairs when I was pregnant with dS2. I had to sleep on the sofa because I couldn't do stairs. To be honest I'd still love one now because I'm a lazy git

BathshebaSnowflakeStone · 20/12/2016 19:56

DM and my aunt came, went to the DC's concert, then to Café Nero, then back to school for hot dogs, jacket potatoes, mulled wine and hot chocolate, then went on the Lantern Walk, back home, DS2's in bed, DD's going now. Wine

Oh yes we have that here.

UnbornMortificado · 20/12/2016 21:40

Sorry the patches are being well patchy.

I'd love a downstairs bed. I'm not even ill or pg I just like lying down Blush

Hope tomorrow brings some improvements for you pain wise Flowers

Allalonenow · 20/12/2016 21:47

If it's something you ordered for yourself Zombie you can just get it redelivered via "Track my order" on the website of the company you ordered from.
Or if it's an order from some one else, the card may have a tracking number, or contact whoever ordered it and ask for the tracking number, or tell them which day to get it redelivered to you.
If you do unfortunately have to schlep to Craven Arms don't forget the sorting office has very limited opening hours these days.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 20/12/2016 21:57

I'm not sure I've grasped what's what.

Is there a reason that you're resisting doubling up on the patches?

The bed downstairs is a really good idea, gives you options.

I wonder if lymph nodes would react to the same treatment as ganglions; bash it with a Bible?
I do know how flippant that sounds but might be worth a try. Unless PD says otherwise.

Glad to hear you're getting the munchies, so sorry I can't help with the special brownies Blush makes me feel older than anything else has Sad

C'mon Phalanx?

DeckTheHallsWithLimbsOfZombie · 20/12/2016 22:01

The parcel needs to be signed for. It's not anything I ordered. Oddly, as there is no MN secret santa this year, it's addressed to The Mumsnetter of the House. Sorting office is open 06.00am to 3.00pm. I have some re-cycling to dispose of and the sorting office is on the same industrial estate. If worse comes to worst, I'll have ZombieLad take me there on Saturday.

PacificDogwod · 20/12/2016 22:02

Zombie, don't give up on the patches just yet, they do take 3 days to reach their steady state (if they are the patches I think they are).
Keep a not of how much Oramorph you need on top of that, so a higher strength patch can be calculated if need be (if you go through 2 and 3 every 3 days it'll become more convenient and more cost-effective to have ONE stronger patch IYKWIM).

Hospital bed downstairs v good idea.
Do you have any palliative care specialists on board? GPs are of course marvellous in every respect Wink, but Jack of all Trades, Master of none....

Tell that neck node to ODFOD!!

Just seen my eldest playing cello at the school Christmas concert - 'twas lovely and I now feel v Christmassy Xmas Smile

PacificDogwod · 20/12/2016 22:04

No, BBB, that's assault! Grin
