Curiouser and curiouser. I want to know what it is now.

DeckTheHallsWithLimbsOfZombie · 20/12/2016 22:11

BBB, as this is my first patch, I need to give it time to see if one will be enough. The patch is due to be changed on Thursday. If by then I'm still needing to top up with a lot of Oramorph, I will put 2 patches on then. It's going to take a while to establish the right dose.

Bashing the lymph node is the worst idea in the world. It's swollen because the cancer has spread to it.

magimedi · 20/12/2016 22:14

Sending love from forming parts.

Magic medicine (spliffs) was wonderful for the pain when I had a frozen shoulder. Hope it works for you, zombie.

Internet v patchy but gin and wine are cheap and the sun shines..

Keep everyone topped up, Ikl

Wolfiefan · 20/12/2016 22:14

Ooo the mumsnetter of the house?! How intriguing.
Getting a bit worried about what puppy related lack of sleep is doing to me. I had to read deck the halls post twice before I twigged it was a zombie name change. Jeez. I'm not even the one on the serious medication?! Or the gin. Blush

Somerville · 20/12/2016 22:19

Sorry to hear about the lymph node. I know all about those unfortunately. Bloody fucking heinous cancer.

I'm wracking my brain for something jolly to say, and struggling.
Oh, the parcel. Sounds exciting... Smile

PacificDogwod · 20/12/2016 22:28

Sorry for everybody else's troubles too btw Thanks - life can be very unfairly shit sometimes

Do lets all concentrate on the excitement of the parcel 'To the MNer of the House' Grin
Shall be speculate about its content? Emergency gin? Gregg's sausage rolls? MN scarf? (remember that one?)

OrlandaFuriosa · 20/12/2016 22:30

Downstairs bed ace idea.

Start practising your Louis XlV levees and soirees.

Remember, people are privileged to know you and call. It's their good fortune, not yours. You may need a card that says " not at home" or "resting".

BathshebaSnowflakeStone · 20/12/2016 22:32

Pom bears? Bear Lemon drizzle cake? Probably not Angela Hernandez. Xmas Grin

PacificDogwod · 20/12/2016 22:35

Would this be inappropriate?

Sorry.
I could not resist.
I've got one.
Grin

marriednotdead · 20/12/2016 22:40

DBFoff to the lymph node lump

A downstairs bed sounds like a brilliant idea. Is it possible that it may be provided via Macmillan or oncology related bods? I remember DSD's mum had one but I don't know how she obtained it- I know they wouldn't have been able to afford a new one.

I reckon your intriguing parcel can only be from someone who sent you a SS last year or even before- don't know if that happened. Either that or they're MN friends who have your address and are right here on the phalanx Smile

Hope you're able to collect it either way- we need to know!

cozietoesie · 20/12/2016 22:42

Emergency Gin I reckon. Wink

BathshebaSnowflakeStone · 20/12/2016 22:42

I need one of those for BathsLad! Xmas Grin

BathshebaSnowflakeStone · 20/12/2016 22:44

PD's sign I mean! He doesn't drink strange bloke Xmas Confused

Allalonenow · 20/12/2016 22:51

B3 I'm loving "bash it with a bible"! That could be the cure for so many obscure ailments! Xmas Grin

That package will probably have a MN chicken (feeds 70) a steam mop (I don't know what it is, but seems very popular) and a tray of brownies, (everybody loves them).

cozietoesie · 20/12/2016 22:57

And some Zoflora? I've never used the stuff myself but it seems to be good for what ails you for half of Mumsnet! Smile

iklboodolphRedNoseReindeer · 20/12/2016 23:00

.

FTFFOTTFFSOFFAWYFGTFFOSFM enlarged lymph node!! What wankery is this? How DARE you!

Good idea about the downstairs bed - I take it you have (ahem) facilities downstairs as well to save the trek? Tres exciting about the parcel. Hope it's something wonderful!

iklboodolphRedNoseReindeer · 20/12/2016 23:01

MN recipe - chicken marinated in Zoflora cooked under a stream mop? Wrapped in a scarf, probably. With gin gravy.

cozietoesie · 20/12/2016 23:04

Oh My Goodness. Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 20/12/2016 23:05

Very sorry Z, I get a bit carried away sometimes.

Thank goodness you're better informed than I am, hardly surprising.

Was thinking it's not assault if you do it to yourself PD.

PacificDogwod · 20/12/2016 23:09

That recipe may just wipe out cancer altogether! Well done, ikl Thanks
It may also cure the common cold and get rid of all of humankind in one fell swoop

Allalonenow · 20/12/2016 23:12

No no B3 don't crawl away, look, ikl' brought along a bath tub of bath tub gin, that'll perk us all up. Xmas Smile

startingtheengine · 20/12/2016 23:15

Don't know whether you've seen this Zombie
Christmas strikes by airport staff are cancelled a.msn.com/r/2/BBxng1a?a=1&m=EN-GB
But thought it might help ease your worries about ZLad and ZLass's arrival. Hoping ZLass is feeling better.

Enjoy your alternate pain relief Xmas Grin

DeckTheHallsWithLimbsOfZombie · 20/12/2016 23:40

startingtheengine, yes, I have seen that. I hadn't told the ZKids about the proposed strike as I didn't want to worry them (and I doubt it's been in the news over there). Now I can tell them once they are safely here.

Can I start counting down the hours yet? By my reckoning they'll be here in 60 hours.

ImtheChristmasCarcass · 20/12/2016 23:43

Hmm, a mystery package. I'm guessing it's chocolate, gin, and weed because that's what I'd want--

Maybe sort the bed when the Zkids are there? May be easier if they're there to help with supervising set up and re-arranging the furniture.

VeraTheVestigialVirgin · 20/12/2016 23:58

I haven't been around mumsnet much for a long time but just popped in and saw this thread, just wanted to wish you the bloody wonderful Christmas you deserve, Zombie, and many congratulations to the happy couple. Wine Flowers
