ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

Hope the patches will help you massively. At least you know that you can increase if it's not a sufficient dose that you have on now. It would be so lovely if you could have a pain free time when your family are here.

Zombie you will have the best Christmas. We knew last Christmas that it would be my dads last (fucking cancer!) and although I shed a little tear now and again, it really was the best Christmas I have ever had. I will never forget it and will treasure those memories forever.

Oh, patch is a good idea - will bypass your dicky tummy and get to your system anyway, in a nice steady way. Have you been told you can still top up with Oramorph?
I really hope that will get your pain under control without over-zonking you. Keep taking the laxatives though

Pacific, GP says there is no limit on how much Oramorph I can top up with. He also said if necessary I can go up to 3 patches at a time.

Speaking of spliffs. A friend from America asked on FB if I'd considered weed. I posted that it had helped me immensely with chemo side effects but that I'd run out and couldn't find any more. Cue Scrotebag's elder daughter messaging me and offering to help. Arrangements are all made. I know it will a) help me sleep and b) stimulate my appetite. Both of these are Good Things.

I have managed nearly an entire bowl of porridge for dinner this evening. That nicely tops up the strawberry yogurt I had for breakfast.

You could consider steroids as well to increase energy and appetite? Dexamethasone is very often used for people in your kind of situation, they reduce inflammation too and thereby help reduce pain from tumour pressing on neighbouring structures.

Spliff sounds like more fun though...
