ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

Colonial Williamsburg is absolutely enchanting at Christmas. Late DH and I spent a few days there many, many years ago.

The minimoon isn't going entirely to plan. ZLass had to go to Urgent Care today with an extremely painful sinus infection. The doctors have put her on super strong antibiotics and apparently threw in a couple of other bits and bobs. They assure her she will be fit to travel in time for their flight. ZLad was by her side every minute and even told her how hot she looked with twists of tissue shoved up her nostrils.

I really wish my tummy would settle. I'm either totally zonked out on morphine or I'm hurting. This is neither fun nor productive.

If ZLad finds ZLass hot with tissue up her nose, then they really are made for each other.

Hope the stomach is feeling better soon. Are any pain teams involved in jigging about your pain meds to try to manage the zonked/pain balance? It's crappy when your in that cycle

Let's hope sleep isn't elusive tonight (it isn't for Mr Magic - snoring sod. He'll be lucky to get away with just tissues up his nostrils if he carries on

Poor ZLass. I hope she feels better soon. Sorry to hear about the problems with morphine Zombie. I had it once after an op to remove an ovarian cyst, I had a pump, it made me throw up. I stopped using it, because obviously, throwing up when you've had your abdomen cut open isn't ideal. I also had weird, brightly coloured dreams, about a kind of psychedelic Playschool.

Zombie, when has your tummy last been examined? By, you know, a doctor-type person?? Poor love. Do you have long-acting morphine + short-acting for breakthrough pain? Feels absolutely free not to answer these questions here, but seek RL advice - may be tricky on a Sunday to find somebody with expertise in palliative care, but an OOH GP should be able to help or phone the local hospice? They are often happy to chat and advise.

And I hope ZombieLass feels better quickly - twists of tissue sticking out of nostrils is a very glamorous look . ZombieLad clearly is besotted

Sorry you're feeling sore Zombie. And poor ZLass to be unwell on their minimoon! Bad timing. I really hope it clears up well before the flight, air pressure + sinus problems would not be a good mix!
