Five years on from my first treatment, the options have pretty much run out.

Please join us for the rest of the journey. Doom and gloom is absolutely banned. There are still laughs and love to share and celebrate.

With accents of Schiaparelli (sp?) pink.

I am two years into a ten year clinical trial for breast cancer, and its bloody hard, but mostly worth it.

I'm not in the same situation as you, but happy to be an ear if you'd like.

Ps. I don't think anyone has mentioned Hendricks gin and cucumber? But that's my altogether absolute fave gin, although at almost $100/bottle here in aus, it's a very occasional treat.

In my gin drinking days, I always preferred cucumber, it's a savoury drink.

Trouble is BBB I still like the smell of the smoke !!! But I must not give in and go back to it.

We have so much drink in this house which will never be drunk, I think you could all come and take a few bottles each. We have a bar and over the years we have brought drink from abroad, others have given it to us for gifts or when we have had a party or something, but Dh rarely drinks at home, I don't hardly drink wether I'm out or at home so it all piles up !

Midwife and I chatted about my birth plan today... and my hospital bag. She asked if I had everything planned and if I was going to pull my finger out my arse and actually pack it... and we chatted through what was going in. (Probably should mention that my midwife is a personal friend, i live in her area)

So I showed her the list... aaaaand there is a can of G&T listed in my "essentials"

GIN on the maternity ward. Excellent stuff. Just the ticket.

It sometimes did feel like a pub when the house was always full of Dh,s friends, but gradually everyone sort of went their own way and we don't have many parties anymore. But it does come in handy when we do have a houseful, especially with the optics, we don't tend to find half full glasses of whiskey or whatever lying around the house !
