I love all things fennel, the seeds get thrown into eveything here, and pastis is a fave summer drink, as well as getting sploshed into fish dishes. I usually have some fennel salami on the go too.

Tyring to think what else is good to reduce bloating - and I agree about anything aniseed tasting is a no go (yuck).

DH is off this week so we are taking kids on daytrips and trying to decide which sofas, dining table & chairs to buy.
Went bowling yesterday as it was my birthday (42 now) so leftover cake for anyone who fancies some.

Really sorry you're feeling so rough Zombie, I do think it may be blessing in disguise that you're reactions seem to indicate that the lower dose, coupled with longer frequency, might be the way to go.

I have a teenager-to-be over here and every day she is getting more and more challenging. Having said that, we have just put her through a huge life upheaval and she and her sister are BORED as anything. School starts 2 weeks from today and they both can't wait to be among people their own age again.

I've had a fairly good day.

Attended the COPD clinic at my GP's surgery. Practice nurse was as always lovely. We chatted a lot about my chemo and the side effects I've been having. Following that she decided not to do a full COPD workup. Instead we just tweaked a couple of my meds.

Then I went to Shrewsbury for bloods to be drawn. (COME ON PLATELETS!!) I went on for a Costa vanilla latte followed by a visit to Pets at Home.

The best bit of the day came next when I met up with a lovely former MNer and her family for dinner. We'd not met in RL before but it was as if we'd known each other forever.

I'm now home, more than a wee bit weary and am going to head to bed soon.

Chemo tomorrow. All being well with my bloods of course...

Oooh Lin - I used to drink 'depth charges' back in t'day. A shot glass of Pernod dropped into a pint of cider (glass and all, not poured in). Blimey!!
