Good morning everyone, how are you getting on zombie? Just been away in Wales for a weeks hol, thought of you zombie on the way home, we came by Shrewsbury n I sent healing thoughts over to you! I guess that is where you are. Had a good time with my grandchildren 🌸🌸

IamtheZombie · 02/11/2016 19:53

Evening all.

Hearts IS gorgeous.

magi, are we twins? (Except for the bit where I'm older than you...)

HRF, trip for the CT scan is the same as for chemo and oncology clinic. 23 miles each way.

Susie, I'm about 20 miles south of Shrewsbury but near enough.

MRI appointment letter arrived today. It's for Monday, 14th November. I need to ring tomorrow though as all my previous MRIs have used a contrast agent but this one doesn't appear to do so.

Car is now ready for winter. Service & MOT last week and back in today as the cam belt was due for replacement.

23 miles is a long way to travel. I wish I could drive, I would come and pick you up, take you to your appointments then take you to the pub afterwards to get you pissed Wink

IamtheZombie · 02/11/2016 23:25

HRF, you must be a city girl. Where I live, 23 miles is practically next door.

OP posts:
HerRoyalFattyness · 02/11/2016 23:30

Yep I'm a city girl. I would love to live rurally. I have woods and a nature reserve practically on my doorstep, and I'd quite happily live in there. I just wouldn't like to walk 23 miles! I think it sounds more because I do walk everywhere, 23 miles is a long way to walk!

Allalonenow · 03/11/2016 21:23

Just popping in to say Hello!

Hope everyone in the Phalanx is OK?

How are those nasty chest infections, all beaten I hope.
How is your dizzy wizziness ikl? I thought you were brave to go to Blackpool, I've never been.
HRF Don't sell yourself short, what you weigh is meaningless when balanced against real human skills like caring, offering comfort, the ability to smile in adversity..... I could go on....

Zombie You sound so together with your winter preparations, atta girl Grin

iklboo · 03/11/2016 22:56

Hi AllAlone - dizzies still whizzy. I keep having epic twirly spells like the open

iklboo · 03/11/2016 23:00

*opening of The Twilight Zone. All good clean fun. Like being drunk but cheaper!

Blackpool was fun - especially with DS's friend never having been (and being soooo lovely & polite. Like DS. I suppose it's why they're such good friends). It's only 50 miles from us and we don't go near the Pleasure Beach / hen & stag parties.

This weekend is busy too. DS's birthday on Sunday and a couple of bonfire parties (scouts & rugby club) but I can mostly drink wine sit down for them.

Mummylin · 04/11/2016 00:19

Hope you are doing ok Zombie. Glad to see that your apts have come through.anything planned for the weekend ?
Ikl, sorry you are still suffering.

HerRoyalFattyness · 04/11/2016 08:48

ikl I'm only 16 miles from Blackpool. It gets a slating on here but my DC love it.

Mummylin · 04/11/2016 09:57

What's wrong with Blackpool ? My sis in law had such a laugh when my Dh and brother and me and sis in law went up there. Such friendly people , it was great.

Susiesoap7 · 04/11/2016 10:14

I love Blackpool, I used to live in st Anne's many years ago n used to shop in Blackpool. My daughter was born there at a teaching hospital, can't even remember its name.

Allalonenow · 04/11/2016 17:29

Oh yes! I'd love to go to Blackpool, especially to see the lights, but I still think ikl was brave to go to a crowded busy place when she was so poorly with her balance.

Hope you have a good weekend Zombie have you got any plans?

HerRoyalFattyness · 04/11/2016 17:43

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with blackpool but I've seen people on here call it all sorts and tell people not to visit Hmm

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/11/2016 18:23

I hope you have a relaxing week-end Z ready for action stations on Monday.
Are you likely to be disturbed by fireworks?
Oh, are you planning to let off any fireworks? Grin

Hope your dizzlies are receding ikl

We should have a Phalanx Meet-Up in Blackpool!
Bagsy Allalone is in charge of the picnic Smile

I'm only quietly panicing because I haven't heard from 'er in Kathmandu for 3 days Grin
I know she's got lots of people to meet up with as she was there for 2 months 10 years ago.
I know a lot has changed because of the earthquake and she'll be trying to help.
I know she's got wedding celebrations which may be a little distracting.
But still.
She's 28, it never, ever stops

clincalissimo Wine

Allalonenow · 04/11/2016 18:31

Oh I meant to ask about Kathmandu, I'm sure you'll hear from DD soon B3 could be very patchy signals over there don't you think?

Oh yes I do good picnics, we'd have pork pies on the list right away! Grin

Susiesoap7 · 04/11/2016 22:09

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 04/11/2016 23:50

Evening all

Wolfiefan · 05/11/2016 00:21

I'm with bewitched. Sorry but I would have to hold the bags.
Yum to fish and chips though. Blush never been to Blackpool. Shock

iklboo · 05/11/2016 07:40

We go to the same place every year for fish & chips. We found it by accident when DS was almost 1. They cook the fish fresh to order and it's lovely. Queues out the door most times we've been.

It wasn't until DS was about 5 we found it had a 'sit in' bit Blush

Fiderer · 05/11/2016 08:04

Am not a fan of rides. Shall stand with B3 and guard coats, washing down my pork pie with lovely Sekt (German sparkling wine and imo better than many a champagne) I shall import by the crateful from this very village.

Would love to go to the Ballroom and have a twirl and a pretend.

Was thinking of this thread at the crack of doom since coming back after half term. Why, I was innerly wailing, while making sandwiches in the dark don't they have mini pork pies here? Would be ideal as a snack and I could have the 4th one for breakfast.

iklboo · 05/11/2016 09:34

Ooooh the ballroom. We could have a phalanx dance routine.
