I am not overdoing it!!! Everything happens at Zombie shuffle speed. Also, the less I do, the less I am able to do. That's a slippery slope I refuse to slide down.

As long as you don't wear yourself out Z - but I reckon it'd do your head it if you could see it all piling up, wouldn't it?

We're off to Blackpool tonight to see the lights & taking DS's friend. He's then coming back to ours for a sleepover the wine is in for me & DH. Fish & chips for tea and a walk down the front. Well, wobble in my case. I'll take me cane!

Pre-anniversary meal out for me & DH tomorrow at a tapas place in town we've heard good things about.

Sunday is our actual anniversary. By great fortune our best man is up that day from Bristol so will be coming round for drinks & food.

Fiderer · 28/10/2016 17:40

Quite right Zombie. Keep doing things at a ZombieShuffleSpeedâ„¢.

Then invent a Zombie Teleporting System. Whizz over here, clear my laundry mountain. Oh while you're here, be a love and file the crap important documents on my desk into their respective files. I now have so many stacks I daren't move (they are sorted into categories, I think) that I've had to migrate to the dining table to do any work work and lawyer work.

magimedi · 28/10/2016 17:44

Zombie I can quite see the thing of keeping going is coming from but I think I'd give in over laundry, if nothing else. We don't want a stinky zombie - do we? Grin

Ikl - Having had this labrynthitis for 2+ weeks (hush, it does seem to be improving) I don't know how you cope & manage to be so cheery. I do realise that mine is not too bad & it's not an awful thing but of all the (thank the lord) minor things I have had in 61 years this is by far the nastiest. It's with you all the time & is very discombobulating, in every sensed of the word.

Enjoy your fish 'n' chips - it's what I want for my tea now Grin

It's Friday!!

Phalank! Attention!

Large gin ration about to be poured!

Fiderer · 28/10/2016 18:17

Labyrinthitis really is grim. First time I had it I was visiting my bf's parents for the first time. They thought I was hungover for 2 days. Then luckily the mum sent me off to the doctor and then his dad defrosted somewhat towards me Grin

The road outside my house is still being dug up, pneumatic drills from 7am till now, 7pm. Are not finished. Obviously it's an urgent (no, long planned) cable/pipe replacement but my teeth ache from rattling and my head is thumping.

Last year they dug up the other side of the road and by incompetence/accident cut through my gas supply. Had to leave the house (with all important documents in my bike basket!) for an hour.

On the bright side, I still have broadband. At the school where I work in the village we've had no phone and no internet all week. Because someone cut through the ... They don't do texting parents/the school here. That was a fun week.

Myth of German efficiency.

HerSpookyFattyness · 28/10/2016 18:23

zombie if you really want to do stuff you can come to mine and clean up. It's DS1s birthday, and it's a mess! Balloons everywhere, cake on my floor, paper plates shoved in corners!

Mummylin · 28/10/2016 21:08

I see your point Zombie, and If you feel happy to do things as and when you can, that's your business. We just don't want you to do too much and wear yourself out.

iklboo · 29/10/2016 12:08

Magi - it's the phalanx & the gin that keeps me going Grin

Last night was very successful. We found out DS's friend had never been to Blackpool (he moved here from Australia 5 years ago but to this area only last year) so it was all new to him.

We gave the boys some money for the arcade & got them some flashing plastic tat. On the way home he said 'Thank you for the best night ever!' Awwww.

IamtheZombie · 29/10/2016 18:21

Oncology clinic appointment arrived in the post today - Monday, 7th November at 15.00. I should at least learn what (if anything) the PET scan revealed. I'm scheduled for a CT scan on Tuesday, 1st November but it's doubtful that those results will be through by the 7th. When I had the last CT it was a 2 - 3 week wait for results (shortage of consultant radiologists to read and report on scans. Still no sign of MRI appointment in Birmingham.

OP posts:
Mummylin · 29/10/2016 22:19

Ooh that's earlier than you thought isn't it Zombie ? It's a shame that all results won't be ready by the time you go for your appointment. But on the upside maybe it means you can fit in another breakfast !

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 30/10/2016 00:52

Great the appt. has been brought forward Z, they do seem to be on top of you (in a nice way haha)

Bit of drama here, daughter who lives in Germany had 20 hour stopover here on her way to Kathmandu for a wedding [eat your heart out Maui!]

Arrives here 7am, can't remember PIN for English account, tries various options, machine gobbles card!

Has no £ at all, not even for cup of coffee.

Has to ask sister to come and collect and ma and pa to lend dosh (me and him)

Plan was always to meet for lunch so no change there, but tears and panic all round for a couple of hours.

Luckily Nepal is very cheap!

IamtheZombie · 30/10/2016 10:38

lin, the original clinic appointment was on Thursday, 24th November which is the day I was expecting. The oncologist wants to see me ASAP so that appointment was cancelled in favour of the one on the 7th.

BBB, forgetting my pin number is one of my greatest nightmares. Poor DD. It's good that everyone was able to chip in and help her out. I'm sure she'll have an incredible time in Kathmandu!

OP posts:
iklboo · 31/10/2016 14:21

Hope you get the news you want to hear at your appointment Z.

B3 - that sounds awful - your poor D! Glad you could get her soorted out.

Here's the Strictly round up for this week. Sorry it's a bit later Lin - anniversary celebrations and all that! Halloween Grin

Strictly Week Six - whose dancing career will they nix?

Mummylin · 31/10/2016 16:43

Thanks Ikl, very entertaining to read as usual. I didn't see the programme last night , but your explanation of it all has made up for that !

HerSpookyFattyness · 31/10/2016 17:16

Happy Halloween phalanx! Here's a scary spider trying to steal the witches hat. (Yes I know I'm fat!)

I don't like spiders at all - but please send that one my way asap.

Yes, you may be a bit overweight but you look really gorgeous & HAWT!!

Would I drummed out the phalanx if I asked you to either embrace your weight or get shot of it? I do mean that nicely, I am very fond of you (& even more of baby spid) and you do seem to torture yourself about your weight. FFS you have had 3 kids in 8 (I think) years - no wonder you've gained a bit.

Sweetie, stop worrying so much about it you are lovely & thoughtful & kind & that matters far more than what you look like.

I won't post a pic of moi but I am 60, white hair, size 18, hairy upper lip & chin (between waxing) & a real scruff. I gave up worrying many years ago & feel so much happier.

Large gin ration for 31/10/16 & as it's Halloween I'll break out the special stuff..... it's so apt for tonight Wine

bedrummed out was what I meant to type.

I deffo have fat fingers Grin

HerSpookyFattyness · 31/10/2016 17:49

Thank you Blush I am trying to get shot of it but it doesn't want to go anywhere just yet Grin I'm so used to being thin that when I put on the weight it came as a bit of a shock!

magimedi · 31/10/2016 22:24

You'll get back there - send me the spider for a holiday & you can rest & fast.... Grin

Just enjoy those wee ones - it goes away too berluddy fast..........

iklboo · 01/11/2016 10:41

I'm with Magi - DS is 11 next Sunday (sob). Where the time has gone I have no idea. It seems only last week he was a tiny tiddler.

HerSpookyFattyness · 01/11/2016 10:43

ikl DS1 has just turned 8. It doesn't seem that long ago he was the size of spiderbaby Shock

magimedi · 01/11/2016 11:18

My DS is closer to 40 than 30 now - how did that happen??

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 01/11/2016 13:34

Happy belated Hallowe'en everyone. It was completely crazy here last night, every single house decorated and tons and tons of kids. We had a blast and I think we have enough candy to sink a ship. A new friend, mum of DD1's new friend, came over for some wine while the older girls handed out candy. It was really nice.

HerRoyal I'm fat now. I was ok before kids, ok-ish after, but now..... I'm pretty sure it comes from my psych meds that I went on about 7 years ago, because they warned me I might gain 3 stone or so. Which I did, and then some. I hate it, but I am never coming off said meds because they are what is keeping me lovely and stable. So fat n' happy, that's me. Grin

Of course I could learn to be a bit less self indulgent too...

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 01/11/2016 23:36

You're gorgeous Hearts however much of you there is or isn't.

Lovely that you're making new friends, they obviously see you too.

Nah, indulge away Wine clink!

HerRoyalFattyness · 01/11/2016 23:40
