Is that computer sorted yet Zombie ? I am not going to do the update on my iPad at the moment, I will wait until all the glitches have gone, despite keep having an annoying pop up to remind me !
Hope bowel probs now resolved.

I kept ignoring/clicking away the W10 pop up. Then one day my landline and mobile rang at the same time. In rush to see who was calling what I clicked "Install now".

Bloody thing changes my laptop from British to American English - no offence Z but when I'm speed typing/translating, it's a right pain cos the symbols are all skew-whiff.
Easy enough to rectify (alt & shift) but I've got loads of ß ü ö ä thingies to contend with as laptop is German.

Beautiful days here atm. Horrid 38°C heat gone. Sunny and warm and the mornings smell wonderful.

Fid You will be able to change your language back to British English in "Settings" I'm sure.

Hi Zombie. How are things with you now ? Have your bowel problems gone now ? Dh has Windows ten and is finding it ok, I have aboard my comp and couldn't even cope with Windows 8. I found it awful.

I know I started it (in expat pork pie desperation) but it is a particular form of cruelty to keep bringing pies up when I have 9 days to go.

I can't believe that the Germans who live almost exclusively on pork products haven't come up with something close to the Melton Mowbray pie.

But bugger off as am currently contemplating booking a bag in (hand luggage so far) for 48 million euros just to bring back pies and Quavers.

You need to come to Canada and try something called tourtiere (can't do the accent), it is a traditional French Canadian meat pie, and it is beautiful. We eat it on Christmas Eve. I could demolish one right now!

Hearts - yes, it was 6.30. Schools here start at 8 so my 3 are out at 7/7.15. No school run (thankfully) so trains & trams.

I am up at 6 on school days and go bellowing through the house. Then I have a geek at the papers & check on Zombie while they faff about with hair products. That's just the boys

Zombie I am having a Maccy's breakfast right now! Sausage n egg mcmuffin is the schizzle.

1st to 10th Yr (so 6yo till 16yo) ends at 1pm. 6th form later, 2/3pm.

Still think 8am ridiculously early.

Mind you, just remembered, FidBoy1 went through Yrs 5-9 at his school with first period being at 7.40 Think I must have blotted out that hideous time. Luckily was only one stop away on the train. My most enjoyable bit of hols is not having to make sandwiches at the crack of dawn.

Taught a year at 8am. At 9.30 there's a break for "second breakfast". Charmingly quirky for hobbits but for me, students eating salami on black bread at that hour was foul.

Can I please have gin, a pork pie and a phalanx chuck on the chin? Applied for a promotion role, practically doing most of the role already supporting my line manager. Not even shortlisted for interview. I'll never bloody learn will I?

Off to drown my sorrows with my work chum. Sod 'em all!!!
