I'm here. I'm taking a few days off from FB and (knowing how weak willed I can be) I didn't open any internet browsers yesterday.

When I went to bed last night the weather forecast for today was glorious. I sorted 4 loads of washing ready for today. And now it's pissing down. Best laid plans and all that.

As I said on fb, I'm available for shin kicking should it be needed.

I used to get all these football and work and whatever related things from DH. He wasn't pleased, but I had to de-friend him....

I want rain. Had to move the students today downstairs where it's cooler. One class has a thermometer, was 38°C upstairs Called the Head for permission to send them home early but the bugger was in a meeting at the Ministry of Education which would amuse me normally as it's all v Harry Potter. But too hot and cross to be amused.

Sorry to hear that you are suffering the curse of FB, Zombie. It's easy to get caught in the crossfire of unpleasantness, and can be so hurtful.

Well it's poured with rain all day here, and now looks as though we have slipped though a crack in the matrix and ended up in Mordor, Sam and Frodo will arrive any moment expecting supper.

Sorry to hear that you are poorly B3, Matron is mixing you a medicinal hot whiskey as I type. Just knock it back in one, kill or cure. (Aintree ~ I bet the going will be soft.)

We've just had the most MASSIVE storm here. The lightning was almost constant - like camera flashes going off. Torrential rain too. I love a good storm. I'd have preferred to kick off when I was snuggled up in bed (I am weird like that).

We had that here this morning Ikl. Our town centre gardens were flooded and some of the manholes in different roads couldn't cope with the rain and so the roads got flooded too. It came from nowhere. Bright sunshine , then it just went dark and down came the rain. We had forked and sheet lightening and the thunder was really loud. Had several bouts of rain on and off during the day too. What happened to the hot day with plenty of sunshine ?

I had the storm too. I like thunderstorms.

Thanks for the virtual whisky Allalone I needed it as darling daughter2, who has had my car for the day, forgot to bring me a miniature so have just had a virgin toddy!

My hair looks like this today.

I've been for my echo-cardiogram this afternoon. Unofficially the sonographer told me that she saw absolutely nothing to give cause for concern. At least my heart behaves even if my platelets don't.

Blood work due tomorrow and then (all being well) chemo on Friday.

Fingers crossed for the chemo, Zombie & glad to hear your heart is OK!

I am going to be away from t'internet for a couple of weeks - but will be thinking of you.
