Allalonenow You are very kind. Start of term is horrid and I'm missing more than half my team. 2 have gone to a monastery today (WTF?) and one has ridden his bike into a wall and is in hospital awaiting an operation on his nose.

Zinglette started school today, she very bravely decided to wear school shoes on her healing foot (despite being allowed to wear crocs).
She fell asleep in the car and now grouchy. Said she hates dinner. She doesn't even know what's for dinner
It was nice and quiet today, just LittleZing at home with me and no sodding playgroup pick up at noon.

Aww. It's scary how they grow up so quickly.
I was volunteering today in the nursery. 3 kids screaming for an hour and a half! We had to phone parents to pick them up as they just wouldn't settle.

I'll have Ouzo and anything else going for breakfast tomorrow. Today was absolute hell at school. Tears, one boy sitting on the floor with his fingers in his ears. Felt like joining him tbh.

36°C, couldn't breathe in the classroom. 75 students not knowing where they were going. Was cross at the lack of support despite my bloody hours of organisation which got scuppered so have texted the Head and complained. Am also a governor so will have an opportunity to whinge on a bit.

Still, I didn't fall off my bike so that's good And I got a few hugs from the students. Must be doing something right.

Hi beautiful Zombie, how are you today?

Fids if I could send you some air con I would. Hard to believe that London is going to be hotter and steamier than Toronto the next few days! Last week one day it was 34 degrees but with the "humidex" it felt like 41!!!

Thank you kind Hearts Luckily it's usually a dry heat, humidity would wring me out more.

Early mornings are wonderfully cool this week. Was just out on the balcony gulping in lovely coolness.

Joyous news My mum has offered to pay for me, FidGirl & FidBoy2 to fly to England in the half-term hols. The Tall One is working so can mind the house. Couldn't go in the summer as was broke but she emailed me to say she's not getting any interest on an account and would rather spend the money than see it lie their flatly.
