Dh and I watched TNM last night, even though we hadn't seen ep1. I will get it on catch up do that we can get up to date.

TNM was full of intrigue and a bit scary and a good bit of fhwoar at the beginning before it all went a bit RTA so thats me happy. Avoiding spoilers cos comtesse not seen it yet.

Well, I cooked in the almost light last night for the first time in 4 months. Yay! I find it so depressing cooking when it's dark outside.

Watched TNM. I have plot issues with it. Oh, and we've been to that beach where they were at the beginning. We had a barbeque there.

So, DH coughed for half the night keeping me awake and then I coughed for the rest of the night keeping him awake. He's still gone to golf though. I'm going back to bed.

But mum wanted me to drive her to the shops so she was cross with me. I will have to take her after work instead.

It's bloody freezing here too. Having quite a productive start to the day and groceries arrived with emergency pringles and Guinness.

Oooh, looking forward to talking TNM "plot issues" once everyone's seen the ep. It did, erm, stretch believability a tad, didnt it. Wonder how it compares to the book - I heard it was changed a LOT but JLC was quite happy with the result. Still, whenever complicated books are adapted for tv, bits have to get compressed and plot holes are inevitable...

Afternoon all, I am having a half day off from ski-ing because frankly falling skiing down a mountain with 10ft visability in the clouds/fog is not my idea of fun, and the boys will have far more fun without having to wait for me to catch up while I sob gently in the background

On the other hand, I went Musketeer spotting at the Duc de Savoie. I was very hopeful of spotting an angry billowy-shirted Athos demonstrating that he's the 'best swordsman in France' But he must have been too busy being drunk in a corner wearing his hat of utimate disguise, because not a sign of him. Inconsiderate sod.

MoreLike I have been missing Lucifer but think a friend is collecting them for me. Though I struggle to see how it can ever be as good as the original Gaiman/Carey creations. I think I will just have to completely separate the two in my head when I finally get round to watching.

Also have not watched any TNM - the sky box is filling up nicely.... enjoy it tonight Comtess (and anyone else who hasn't watched it yet)

helen you have my sympathies- my DH is a virtual bloody pro - and after 4 days skiing the DC are way braver and faster than I - my skiing preference is for a vin chaud - hot chocolate break after every few two runs - but alas - the boys just want to bomb it down the slopes ........ Go and grab yourself a drink and watch the HBF on their boards etc .....

Wenches will be disappointed to know that following on from last years alarmingly young, but very definitiely HBF chalet host ("Mummy that man looks like a musketeer - the one who sticks his head in a bucket" ) this years efforts are alarmigly young and not in the least HBFs Though saves me trying to take clandestine POIDH evidence shots.
