MegJoshMum · 04/01/2007 21:59

hi
We went for the casting today, dont think Josh got it though. There were so many stage schools there it was unreal. It was a great experience though and Josh had a ball, he has been dancing the dance he had to learn most of the evening.
I love MSN groups ~ any chance of joining or is it by invite only,
Thanks
Debbie

Yummymummy we are going between 2 and 3 on tues, not sure what to put her in? Any tips would be appreciated. Sienna has only just started in Dec with Urban angels, dd1 (Kia) is with B & B and has been since Nov but have had nothing as yet, she is 3. How lomg has your dd been with them?

YummyMummy21 · 04/01/2007 22:26

CLJ118> I usually put DD in plain clothing like jeans and pale pink t-shirt for castings. I dont think it matters what they wear as long as its not got huge logos or patterns as they can distract the eye. Just make sure she is clean and boggy free and it'll be fine

Hope all goes well for your DD 1st casting. They are usually really quick, may see you there if im early which to be honest never happens.LoL

DD has been with UA a whole year in Feb. Hope that your DD is very successful with them.

Megjoshmum> Good Luck to your DS

My DD has just got her first job, so excited (more than she is!!!!). Not sure if I should tell them DD has never modelled before.

marymay · 05/01/2007 09:29

christabel..well done to your dd .whats it for?

julie4travel · 05/01/2007 09:38

christabel - congrats on the job

if i remember rightly you were with fine kids weren't you? is this through them or are you with another agent? i presume you read the times newpaper report etc as i dont think you have been on since this all happened

BigmummaL · 05/01/2007 11:16

I am going to dress ds (Dion) in something fairly plain, such as jeans and a t.shirt. We have to be there between 2 & 3pm. We have also been with UA since Dec.

Good luck to you too YummyMummy21! Will keep a look out for you both. We are going to aim to get there for about 2.00pm as we are driving and want to get out of London before the rush starts! XXX

totallyfloaty35 · 05/01/2007 11:49

DD1 got Clarks job

clj118 · 05/01/2007 12:10

Congrats christabel and totally, great news.

Bigmumma where abouts are you driving from, we are going to aim to be there for as near to 2 as possible but will probably end up being after 2 as the traffic is always so unpredictable. Think may just put her in a pair of jeans and a plain pink tshirt, just hope she does not have a bad hair day, lol!

Yummy thanks for the tips and good luck for your dd, hope to see you there!

Lolly68 · 05/01/2007 12:15

Well done Totally. That is fab!

BigmummaL · 05/01/2007 12:21

Clj118 - We are driving from Witham (essex). Gonna leave about 11am I think, to make sure we get there in plenty of time.

Totallyfloaty35 - Well done, that's great news!

clj118 · 05/01/2007 13:04

Bigmumma We will be coming from sussex so gotta leave about 10ish to make sure we arrive in time. Good luck if I don't see you there! I love his name.

marymay · 05/01/2007 13:35

totallyfloaty35 · 05/01/2007 15:02

im hoping my little tiny gets a job soon, but she only 12wks old,so she got plenty of time.
Good luck to those with castings today

YummyMummy21 · 05/01/2007 15:20

Hi All

Well done Cristabel and Totally for the jobs.

Cristabel> What is the job for?

Good luck for M&S shoots on Tuesday

CLJ118> Are your daughters mixed raced? I think I remember you from CM.net. My DD is but she is very fair and has very curly hair. Is your daughters Curley or Aphro? I usually just spray it with johnsons detangler spray before castings and gives her really bouncey curlies.

Take Care ALL.

clj118 · 05/01/2007 22:46

Yummy,

Yes they are mixed race, Kia has very tight curls and Siennas does not seem to be as curly and as thick as kias was when she was a baby, i think Sienna will have loose curls, nightmare doing hair in the mornings LOL. They are quite darks considering how pale they were when they were born, Kia looked orientel when she was born, think dp was a little worried at first lol.

Have you tried any baby love or soft and precious products ibn her hair? I have stopped putting stuff in Kias as I find it so greasy and horrible, at the most I use detangling spray, but try and stick to water as much as I can now, it does not seem to get as knotty!

BigmummaL · 06/01/2007 15:56

clj118 / Yummy, My ds is mixed race and I was actually recommended something called "Lustre" by my dp's sister for his loose curls. You only need a very small amount, but it makes his hair look lovely. His hair is still quite short though, so am not sure if this would be appropriate for longer hair.

clj118 · 06/01/2007 16:14

bigmumma,

Where can I get some from? Worth a try.

BigmummaL · 06/01/2007 21:53

Clj118, Any Afro Carribean hair shop should sell it and it looks rather like Johnsons baby lotion. It costs about £8.
