Please no mentions of FK or Izzy on here, a new thread can be started when the other one gets full.

mrsratty · 20/12/2006 19:09

Hopr you both get it sorted soon. When we moved into this house we had no hot water for a couple of days. I was so cross with the people we bought from!

Littlemadam - where did you eat to get food poisoning? Only ask 'cos we're off there after Xmas, and my friend came back Sunday - she and her little girl were being sick yesterday. Perhaps I should stick to McDonalds???? Or is that the problem?

littlemadam · 20/12/2006 19:21

Did small world three times running!! DS liked Buzz Lightyear the best, but small world was DD's fave.

Why do boilers etc always go when its freezing??? Really feel for you. We always have powers cuts in the winter - we have overland line, and last year were off for three days...we kept warm with gas rings and heater. Its amazing what we take for granted until its gone isn't it??

I really hope you are both sorted soon.

Ragga, well done to your DD!

Mrsratty, did Lorna do it? If so, it might get onto her site and save you a bomb! Its awful if you won't see it - is it online?

housemum · 20/12/2006 19:24

Quad - am feeling for you with no boiler. We had the pump go on ours a couple of years ago - unfortunately it was probably on the 2nd or 3rd day of our 10 day holiday in the coldest Feb I remember when we came back from Chicago with flu/chest infections. Needless to say the bimbo on the Gas Servicecare call centre who suggested we could have an engineer 2 days later didn't hear the most polite side of me!!! It was 8 degrees indoors according to the nursery thermometer!!! Think we're still paying for the leccy used in all the fan heaters we scrounged off the neighbours to heat the place until engineer finally arrived at midnight (and fixed it in 30mins despite dolly-bird saying, "well we'll send him round to keep you happy but he won't be able to do anything..")

littlemadam · 20/12/2006 19:25

Housemum, it was the buffet style one just on the edge of discoveryland/main street - it has the Disney characters there at teatime. There are lots of places to eat, but recommend you book when you get there, as they are all full by about four! I hope you have a fab time!

We went to Planet Hollywood or the hotel after that!

mrsratty · 20/12/2006 19:56

Yes, it was Lorna. The nice thing about her site is that she also puts up the pictures that didn't get publised. I am really looking forward to sseing them as she is so talented.

Hi mummy2milly - thread is a bit on the quiet side - think everyone's probably been banned from the PC by DPs/DHs after the last week's events! Am on here under pretence of loading up new iPod! (Christmas has come early, it was a freebie!)

mrsratty · 21/12/2006 09:11

housemum - You are doing really well at the moment with freebies! How did the Happy feet party go?

OP posts:
totallyfestive35 · 21/12/2006 09:48

Good morning everyone. Feeling very delicate this morning as we had our work Xmas party last night...

marymay · 21/12/2006 11:04

hi totally..whats the casting for? nothing for my two at the moment.probably a good job as i have so much still to do for christmas .

mrsratty · 21/12/2006 11:18

My children are crazy! They keep running into each other, bouncing on all of the beds and being generally very manic. Hurry up christmas so I can get some peace!!!!

OP posts:
housemum · 21/12/2006 11:24

Mrs Ratty - I did buy a new car to get the iPod so you could say it's an expensive freebie!!! (I hasten to add I needed a new car anyway and bit their hand off when they offered full trade-in for my old Saxo with the rattly clutch as they didn't even try starting the engine!)

The Happy Feet party is this afternoon - apparently there will be Kevin Adams off Fame Academy/GMTV to lead the kids dancing, and a penguin handler will bring along a real penguin (aaahh).

Can't wait!!

housemum · 21/12/2006 11:25

Lolly (whispers) - I'm just handing you a can of Diet Coke now... (always does the trick for me the morning-after-the-night-before).

mrsratty · 21/12/2006 11:26

Couldn't care less about Kevin Adams but if there's going to be a real penguin I want to come! PLEASE!!!!

OP posts:
Lolly68 · 21/12/2006 11:34

Housemum - just on my second can of "fat" coke... but feel that I may have to have a hair of the dog at lunchtime! [fwink[

mrsratty · 21/12/2006 11:36

Lolly68 - can you still get into Yahoo. I think I may have been locked out but I don't know why!!
