Please no mentions of FK or Izzy on here, a new thread can be started when the other one gets full.

lucky you ellesmum! i haven't yet braved a night away from ds but we are going to get a hotel close to dp's parent's place and spent a night alone over the holidays. i'm quite nervous about it though. ds is still sleeping in our room too - not good!!!

beaubebe · 20/12/2006 15:07

ellesmum · 20/12/2006 15:17

Lolly68 · 20/12/2006 15:29

DLM - Lydia was in with us until she was 7 months old and then when I went back to work and I had to be brave and put her in her own room. She loves it!

Ellesmum - I know what you mean about cbeebies. Lydia loves teletubbies and tweenies!

mrsratty · 20/12/2006 15:36

My first went into her own room at about 18 months. I can barely keep my second out of my bed let alone into her own room!!!

lolly - dds always loved cbeebies, now though she has it on all day in the background and if u even attempt to turn it over she goes mad! she loves tweenies and tellytubbies, her fav is balamory and charlie and lola.

housemum · 20/12/2006 16:08

I think my daughter IS Lola - the stuff she comes out with! I can't believe that the author doesn't have kids - she must have a lot of nieces and nephews, she is spot on!

DD is starting to tell "jokes" now - but as she is only 3.5 they are obviously not funny. Here's a taster of the "best":

Why did the cat go to the doctor? Because he did a weewee.

Why did the teddy go to the doctor? Because he did a poopoo on his bottom.

Why did the hit go to the doctor? Because his arm was broken.

Oh dear.......

ellesmum · 20/12/2006 16:09

housemum lol i though them jokes were quiet funny

Lolly68 · 20/12/2006 16:33

Houseman - a comic in the making!!

Lolly68 · 20/12/2006 16:34

I meant Housemum!!! Going mad...

mytinselinas · 20/12/2006 16:40

oh dear, so funny .. have to say, the other day we were out and walked passed an old man with some kind of motorised walking aid, and my dd2 said out loud to him 'why do you have a scooter?'!!! i was sooo

dylansluckymum · 20/12/2006 16:45

lol housemum, i remember my niece in the dumb joke phase, the best part was that she'd kill herself laughing no matter how unfunny they were. i bought her a 1001 stupid joke book and my sister wanted to kill me!

dylan likes to have tv on sometimes, he loves pocoyo (i think it's the sharp contrast) and the woman off balamory's voice. no matter what he's doing if she starts talkign he stops and looks. tbh i keep it on to have some background noise myself! i could cheerfully shoot the doodlebops though. oh he also likes that one that's kind of like tellytubbies but cooler. of course none of them hold his attention for more than 10 mins or so!

i'm glad i'm not the only one that struggles with moving them 'out'. my sis is coming in mid-jan for a month then we're getting the flat refurbished so my excuse is that we'll move him when he has a nice nursery to move into!

littlemadam · 20/12/2006 16:53

Yes, how often can you laugh at a knock knock joke!!???

Ds's always seem to end with "wee wee on your head" or something similar, think thats a boy thing!!

Am now recovered from Disney, was lovely, but cold, and DS and I got mild food poisoning on the first night so were on relay heads in toilet.....not even a hangover pimmsy!!!

Hope everyone has a fab Christmas, and not too much worry. Yacks , thanks for the mail, will reply!!

mrsratty · 20/12/2006 16:57

Glad you enjoyed Disney, doesn't sound like the food poisining spoilt it too much.

Girls do alot of wee and poo jokes too, of course I think she's influenced by the boys in her school! She also thinks saying 'hello moto' in a funny voice is hilarious (I know hse got that from a boy in her class!).

littlemadam · 20/12/2006 17:16

It must just be that age then!!! DS also like patting my bottom whenever he can, and thinks its hilarious!!

Disney was lovely, though when I got there realised I didn't really like micky mouse...and he was everywhere!!!!

Have you seen the magazine shots your DD did for the fashion mag yet?? Were they out soon? Haven't seen anything of the other job tho, have you?

mrsratty · 20/12/2006 17:27

Mmm, will wait until after Christmas I think and see what happens. Everyone is rushed off their feet around this time, it seems to be a deadline for all sorts of things!!

Am gpoing to build DD's dollshouse tonight, thing several glasses of merlot will be required!!

Hello everyone, i was wondering if anyone could e-mail me with any info on the other issues and probs that have arisen recently, if you know what i mean, prob can't mention it here. My girls are with the agency concerned and i don't know anyone in the modelling world so to speak to ask. I used to post a little on the other site under my normal name and have twin baby girls. Have been worrying myself sick so any news might help me sleep again. My email is [email protected]. Many thanks x
