There's still plenty of room for posts on the current thread but I'm starting this one now as I may be offline for some time.

I've asked iklboo to keep an eye on my FB timeline and to copy / paste the updates here so they should appear as and when.

Make sure you have your chianti and fava beans ready for the 11th!

Hello ladies. Hope you're all well. Zombie I hope you're feeling in fine fettle & snuggled in with the ZCats. I read your other threads yesterday. My admiration for you grows & grows. By Christ, you're a trooper. I am in awe of you.

We went for a meal last night at our local chain pub thing. They had 2-4-1 cocktails for reward card holders (me). So I had the gin gin-gle bells. Two of 'em as DH was driving.

Double Bombay sapphire
Single martini Rosso
Topped up with elderflower

It was gorgeous and I came home with quite the warm glow.

Rugby club Xmas party tonight, panto tomorrow.

magimedi · 05/12/2015 13:39

Mmm................. gin!

Zombie, I hope you are warm & snug at home & not venturing out in this vile weather.

Has anyone 'seen' Zing of late? I know she was pissed off with MN when the app changed & she had trouble with it & her phone but I haven't seen her around for so long I was hoping she was OK.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 05/12/2015 17:27

Last I heard Zing was busy in Woolly Hugs Grin

magimedi · 05/12/2015 19:32

Flowers BBB - I have found her in the 'Sweary thread'!!

Hope you are OK in the caravan with all this wind!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/12/2015 00:17

It's dramatic living in a glass box, in a field, next to a windmill!

It's warm and secure though, and not wobbly at all Grin

I'm sure Zing will fizz back here at some point.

Happy Sunday afternoon, Phalanx!

I hope everyone is safe and dry. ChezZombie was battered by wind for a few days but (thankfully) relatively little rain. The ZombieCatsâ„¢ and I just hunkered down and rode it out.

I spoke with my Oncology Nurse on Friday. Three weeks post surgery and the QEHB haven't reported anything about the surgery to my oncologist. I can't fault their medical care, but their communication skills leave one hell of a lot to be desired. I see the surgeon this coming Thursday and will need to ask him to immediately fax a full report to Shrewsbury. My Oncology Nurse is organising an Oncology Clinic appointment for the following week. If the QEHB have sent the relevant information through, I should learn when I will resume chemo. I also assume I will need a full set of post-op scans in the near future.

And I wonder why I can't get into the holiday spirit...

ZombieHugsâ„¢ for all!

Ah, Zombie that sounds like a nightmare. Left hand, right hand - get your act together for Zombie will you?! She needs to know what's afoot so she can get her Christmas on. Do not risk the wrath of the phalanx. We gots hard stares and we ain't afraid to use 'em. Especially after a few gins

Lin - I hope all has been quiet on your front and things are settling down for you. You also need - and deserve - a peaceful mind in the weeks to come..

For a spot of diversion, here's this week's Strictly round up Strictly quarter finals - who faced the music, and lost?

marriednotdead · 06/12/2015 22:50

Good evening Zombie and of course the Phlanx Smile

Hope your recovery continues without interruption and that communication improves between the departments.
Pleased to see the Zombiecats are home with you, animals are good for the soul I think- well behaved ones anyway. I used to have a complete loon of a kitten which would give a Tasmanian devil a run for it's money every time we had visitors!
It would do circuits of the lounge, bolting across the heads of everyone on the couch Shock

I'm struggling to get in the festive mood so today I put my tree up. Shopping for some gifts to go under it might be a good plan...

You're TM's looking a bit swollen Zomb

Have you tried an ice pack?

Mummylin · 07/12/2015 01:30

Things have been quiet this week Ikl, but we await the next thing which will only be round the corner. It is very stressful for my dd which makes me worry about her. But we will always be there for her so she dosent have to cope alone. But fingers crossed that thus week will also be quiet !
Will read blog tomorrow as it's so late now.
Zombie, that's a bit off about your report isn't it. No wonder sometimes things take so long with apts and such like.

iklboo · 07/12/2015 13:01

I have pins & needles in my tongue. This is not as much fun as it sounds. A bit like licking a 9 volt battery (if you were ever mad enough to do that as a kid) Hmm

Mummylin · 07/12/2015 13:59

Oh that sounds horrible Ikl, have you had this before ?
I am busy putting stuff away from my lounge so I can get my Xmas stuff out. Need about another 3 rooms in my house as ds is having loads of stuff delivered here ready for when they move back in their house so I don't have as much room as normal. I don't think his house will be ready for Xmas even though he is working on it fir long hours so it looks like a change of plan and I will have everyone here. I was quite looking forward to not having to cook, but it is as it is!

Lin I've been having severe pins & needles all over for a couple of weeks - along with muscle twitches, muscle cramps, joint pain & fatigue. I'll be making a docs appointment this week if I can. Along with the wibbly wobblies I need putting in a sack & shaking up Hmm

Mummylin · 07/12/2015 22:12

Oh your having a rotten time Ikl. Yes make that apt and see if they can get to the bottom of it. Sounds like you need an MOT !

Mummylin · 07/12/2015 22:14

Zombie , have Zombiecats settled down again now ? And how is son of Zombie ? Most important , how are you ?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/12/2015 23:04

I hope you have another quiet week lin fx.

That sounds really tough and uncomfortable Ikl, you're very good at brushing it off and being humorous Flowers

I prescribe a month in the Grenadines Grin

I do hope 'they' can sort it out soon.

iklboo · 08/12/2015 13:48

I prescribe a month of gin & grenadine! Grin

Mummylin · 08/12/2015 22:31

Ikl just read your blog. It seems that they had some really good scores this week ! Who us your fav to win ? I can't say because I don't usually watch it, so it's good to keep up with it through you. Pity he didn't whip out his 10 though Xmas Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 08/12/2015 22:40

I'm sure we can combine both love.

Gimme dates ?

iklboo · 08/12/2015 22:55

Jay & Georgia are both great. I think Jay may edge the public vote though. Especially if he does his jive again in the final. I'm really looking forward to the show dances.

Saturday I've got the in-laws family gathering, DS's karate grading and then a 21st to go to all between 1:30 and 7:30 (howls). Then a 9am start on the Sunday for DS's rugby match. An away match. An hour's drive away......

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 08/12/2015 23:53

You is very stoic Ikl

Massive respec' man Star

(still up for planning your tropical hols)

iklboo · 09/12/2015 13:41

Hello Zombie - hope you're keeping well and you've finally got the news / correspondence / info you've been waiting for.

Back to the docs for me on Friday with shiny new symptoms. Slight bonus being that I now have Friday AND Monday off work. The weekend may be tolerable after all Wink

iklboo · 09/12/2015 19:38

Small glimmer! DS's away match has been changed to a home match. That's an extra hour or so in bed. And if I'm not feeling up to it I won't feel as guilty if I don't go - there's lots more support at home games.
