mysonsmummy - you are right, i basically only buy when the sale is on. my dd had a dress in teh last sale at £18 and the hairband to match it was £5 on its own!

mrsratty · 21/11/2006 08:27

Good luck with all jobs and castings, too many to remember whos doing what!

I'm hoping to get Junior at the end of this week, fingers crossed DD is in it, I don't think she made the cover though .

mrsratty have you tried looking online to see if they are showing next months Junior ? Im sure it will be fine, good luck.

good luck to everyone else aswell xx

tigeryuan · 21/11/2006 09:25

morning all!
i like ted baker too! fingers crossed for you julie!
mrsratty - i'll keep an eye for you. I subscribe to junior and I noticed that sometimes I had different cover to the one they sell in the shops!

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 09:30

yes i love ted baker too yet cant normally afford it! a freebie would be lovely even if he didn't get the job - wishful thinking

spoke to ds class teacher today to pick him up an hour early and its only pe he is missing. as he has had a bad leg recently I am not really that bothered that he is missing it as i only think he will strain it more. she was totally fine with it which was a bonus!

Tinkerbel5 · 21/11/2006 09:32

yes julie thats ok, an hour is nothing and he wont miss much in pe .

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 09:40

tink - exactly i dont feel as bad now. the school is normally quite strict. has your ds had anything recently?

Tinkerbel5 · 21/11/2006 09:46

no not heard anything yet julie, can you do a chant for me cause when you think of something it happens

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 09:48

tink- well i had only joked to dlm the other day i wish carly would call my phone and the next day she rang with todays casting! thats spooky! u r with b and b aren't you?

Tinkerbel5 · 21/11/2006 09:54

yes b & b sits crossed legged chanting

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 09:57

tink after todays one i will be back eagerly waiting my phone to ring. my three year old cant understand why she is not going to the casting! apparently they r casting 4 - 8 year olds today.

Tinkerbel5 · 21/11/2006 10:01

yes 3 year olds dont understand, hopefully she will have her own little casting and job soon.
If you are brave enough ask the photographer if he has any Ted Baker samples, tell him I will gladly wear them and advise the brand, I will squeeze in an 8 year olds t.shirt if needs must

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 10:11

tink - ha ha - so many people have said the same sort of thing, i wonder why....... you did the model book shoot didn't you? did you get good photos. mine were quite nice. wish we got a copy of the model book though

Tinkerbel5 · 21/11/2006 10:32

yes DD did the model book, I ended up looking at the photos on the dvd player, was very pleased with them, would have loved a copy of the model book.

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 10:48

tink sorry i realised further down i typed ds instead of dd - sorry. bet i see you at a casting in the future as same sort of age group. it def seems to be picking up

Colinfirth · 21/11/2006 10:54

Dumb question - anyone with KL - are you supposed to give the agency a call after a job to just say how it went? thanks

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 10:57

colinfirth - i am not with kl. normally i leave it for the agent to contact us. ellesmum or some of the others with kl maybe on later who can advise you their procedure.

Tinkerbel5 · 21/11/2006 11:24

yes julie hopefully we will bump into you sometime at a casting/job.

colinfirth, not with kl but I have rang DD's agency when she has come out of a job to let them know what time she got there and came out.

Ragamuffin · 21/11/2006 11:37

Colinfirth.......I usually just drop them an e-mail when home to let them know how it has gone. Also just reminds them that we're there and appreciate ALL jobs and castings!

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 11:40

hi raga- oh maybe i am a bit rude by not contacting them? maybe i will have to think about it when my ds (ever hopeful) gets another job! i just gave times at job and thats it no feedback.

jingleboobs · 21/11/2006 12:25

will any agency take me coz i dont live in london if so is there any decent agencys in the north /midlands

julie4travel · 21/11/2006 12:36

jingleboobs - some will have a look at www.childmodelling.net for agencies profiles. DK in Sheffield is supposed to be good. boss or something like that in Manchester. i am east anglia and i am with london based agencies and commute for castings/jobs etc. Good luck in your choice.

ellesmum · 21/11/2006 13:07

hi guys - good luck for any castings or jobs today.

mrsratty - could u tell me if elle is in junior when u get it? im really nervous she wont be used!! you never know your dd still might be on the front cover! they would be mad not to use her for it.

could anyone whos going past bhs this week have a look out for elles picks instore, shes wearing a long red coat. thanks

colinfirth - i always give kids london a ring after a job to give them times, they always ask how we got on.

mythumbelinas · 21/11/2006 13:20

colinfirth, yes, unless told otherwise i always call KL to say when we left. i think it states in their booklet to call them within 24hrs of jobs done.

ellesmum, i don't think i will be shopping for the next couple of days, as dd1 is off school sick now and i've got a cold .. terrible, but once we're well, i'll be out there

lolalou · 21/11/2006 13:22

Thanks for link Ellismummy
ellesmum will check in BHS - the girl I saw was blonde - going into town Thursday - so will track down your dark haired daughter pictures!! How old is she?
