Mrsratty - yes I have in the attic somewhere! I will try and get them out and show everyone. I actually done the M&B front cover with him... but then i was 22 years old then. They have models now. He also done an advert for the Kiddicraft Kiddwalker too. He wont go near a camera now though!

Lanismum - your DD sounds like a right little character. Your post made me LOL!

mrsratty · 17/11/2006 11:36

That's good that you did it too, it would be gret to see!

OP posts:
dylansluckymum · 17/11/2006 11:53

thanks everyone. don't know how many babies they have so don't want to get my hopes up too much but we'll see how it all goes!

lolly that would be fab to see those covers if you can dig them out. maybe it will be inspirational!

LOL at lani... guess it's not too funny when you're the one chasing after her but at least you can't say she's short on character!!!

btw mrsratty how's your cake turned out?

lanismum · 17/11/2006 11:55

yes, there are people on this thread that have seen her in action hopefully she will calm down soon

thorntons · 17/11/2006 12:11

Morning all!Lanismum .Your post made me giggle ! Bless her cotton socks Gorgeous, feisty, tornado -Lani ,definitely not short of character..I am sure UA shoot will go well.
DLM.Congrats re PP front cover job!!
Mrsratty look at you-domestic goddess ! Hope cake turns out well. I am rubbish at making cakes.
mythumbs, well done to your neice re UA.

Lolly68 · 17/11/2006 12:11

DLM - they usually shoot about 6-7 babies and then you wait for them to appear on the cover over the next few months in anticipation!

lanismum · 17/11/2006 12:24

mrsratty, you have reminded me of Lanis 1st birthday, i was insistant that i wanted to make the fairy cakes, i mean, how hard can they be? he he he they turned out like biscuits, i had to run down to tescos, but ready made plain fairy cakes, which i then decorated with bright pink icing and glitter topping, never again will i attempt a cake of any description, everybody has a talent, mine is not cooking of any sort
hope you cake turns out well though, im sure it will!

lanismum · 17/11/2006 12:25

buy not but!

Ragamuffin · 17/11/2006 12:26

DLM......Fantastic news on PP. Just hope he's really on form that day and makes a cover. That would be sooooooo exciting! I have just e-mailed you.

housemum......Will be putting pics in post when I do school run later, so should be with you early next week. Do let me know if they arrive this time!

lanismum.......Your DD is really such a monkey. I love LO's with character like that. My DS was just such a terrorist. I could write a book about the incredble things he did at that age!

mythumbs.....big well done to your neice. When did she hear. I know someone going for UA assessment on Sat.

Lolly68 · 17/11/2006 12:33

raga - can I see the photos of your DD too... [email protected]. I cant find Girl Talk anywhere in the shops in the City.

mrsratty · 17/11/2006 12:34

Cake turned out well, well it looks good anyway. The hardest part is decorating it to look like a pink spider - I think I will leave that until tommorow.

Lanismum - At least she has personality! Kids who sit and do nothing are depressing to look at, thats what I tell myself as my girls are lively!!!

OP posts:
thorntons · 17/11/2006 12:46

Mrsratty, cake sounds lovely !Heehee yep totally agree re with your post.DD is a very lively little monkey too ,keeps telling everyone she wants Dora rollerskates for Xmas (not yet 3 years of age)
Good luck to those with castings ,jobs todayx

Ragamuffin · 17/11/2006 13:01

Lolly68.....e-mail sent to you.

Ragamuffin · 17/11/2006 13:17

mrsratty.....Your pink spider cake reminds me of the cake I made for my DD for her 1st birthday. It was a pink hedgehog!! She had a fascination for the creatures at the time, but was insisiting on a pink cake. Have a pic of it I could send you. Hope your spider turns out great.

mrsratty · 17/11/2006 13:25

Ragamuffin - Spider sounds esay compared to a hedgehog! Your picture might inspire me somehow, I'm okay at abstract art but terrible otherwise - I don't want to disapoint the birthday girl!

ahh .. lani up to her usual tricks!! poor you lanismum being pg aswell .. take care!! Hope the UA photoshoot goes well

thanks ellismummy and raga .. nephew is already with UA, and when they found out he has a sis they wanted to see her. She's 6.

DLM .. it just keeps rolling in for your gorgeous ds. Well done and hope pp shoot goes well too!!

mythumbelinas · 17/11/2006 13:32

mrsratty, a pink spider?? did you have to put anything else in the cake to keep it fresh? Just that i'd like to make a cake one day .. i've been doing lots of baking recently .
Once my friend made a cake for her bf, and another friend asked how long it took to make and she said 'one day' and other friend on taking a bite replied 'tastes like 2!!!' haha

mrsratty · 17/11/2006 13:45

The cake has alot of butter, the more fat the longer it stays fresh. I only needed eggs, butter, sugar, lemons and flour. Very quick to make. It should keep for four days as long as I wrap it properly.

OP posts:
mythumbelinas · 17/11/2006 13:52

sounds yummmm .. i love butter and buttery things

Ragamuffin · 17/11/2006 14:03

mrsratty....hedgehog cake pic on it's way to your e-mail. Now you'll have to send me a pic of the spider!

2ManyPimms · 17/11/2006 14:06

Gosh, I have about 2 seconds...

Anyone else going to the Ian Deary test shoot tomorrow afternoon????

Mrs Ratty - Found the photo link on Lorna's webpage! Glad she found DS easy to work with!

Off to the school to do PTA-y sort of work!

dylansluckymum · 17/11/2006 14:25

raga i've emailed you back sorry took me ages!

PP shoot is in clapham same place as calpol shoot, absolutely amazing building. pain in the butt to get to especially as our buses are on strike on mon but i'll have to figure something out! b&b said that they saw 3 babies and only ds was chosen for them so we'll see how many others are there.

also been asked to do another adams shoot on tues for a couple hours... i was so tempted to say no as we really need a break but it's the higher windows/PR rate so i said yes. i feel sort of bad but it's money in his savings and i just know that if i do say no he won't get anything for ages and i'll wish we'd done it! definitely having a rest after that though!!!

littlemadam · 17/11/2006 14:29

Pimms, me and mrsratty are there at 11 and 11.30, how about you?? DS will be really pleased to see your DS again, and I'd love to see you guys too!

littlemadam · 17/11/2006 14:31

Sorry, all over the place today - well done DLM, hope the cover comes off!!!
Lanismum, know what you mean, DD has hit the terrible twos with a vengence, can't match you tho. Never mind, lots of stories for her 18th
Best of luck anyone waiting. Was your DD up this week raga??
