ellismummy, yes, agree with ellesmum, we met the same girl from ts and she's busy. I also met two babies from ts on a job and one of them was getting a job or casting every week. She didn't seem to mind the travelling with a 1yr old and she lived way out of london!

mythumbelinas · 29/11/2006 12:16

oh ellesmum, sorry! I'm busy tomorrow, so am quite worried about dh taking her .. so will see how it goes ..

mrsratty · 29/11/2006 12:39

Ellesmum my DD also has size 8 feet, the younger one, she has a friend who was 2 in September who also has size 8 feet! Big DD is size 12 which is big for her age!

ellismummy - shame about UA, at laest you don't have to make the decision now.

DD has to do the school play four times. She won't be missing any of it for castings or jobs as it's only once a year and more important to her.

mrsratty- four times for a school play is loads! i was suprised my ds said wants ted baker over the play. i just hope ds friends are ok with him after it (still hopeing the job will magically happen on a non school play day!), another mum watched the rehersal at school earlier and said to me boy ds has a big part doesn't he - little did she know i am feeling guilty already even though i still dont fully know if it does clash!

mrsratty · 29/11/2006 12:47

Does he have a stand in?

1 performance is the dress rehersal then she has one day time and two evening performances.

Thanks everyone, I havent heard any bad things about ts so looking forward to jan, just worried that they wont put him forward for much as he didnt do to well on their photoshoot and that wasnt his normal self, so hope it dosent go against him.
We would be quite happy with 2 jobs a month!

ellesmum · 29/11/2006 12:50

mythumbs - im sure she will be fine with dh, maybe they will use my dd next time.

julie4travel · 29/11/2006 12:50

ellismummy- i wouldn't worry i am sure ts will put him forward for anything which they thinks appropriate. they could do the same about my dd putting the shower on and drentching herself before her photoshoot!

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 13:03

shame about the no from UA ellismum, im sure you will have loads from TS, I saw a girl from there at a Littlewoods castings so fingers crossed for you.

sha11 · 29/11/2006 13:30

dd has been optioned for the job, but still problem about school, agency say to go ahead and apply for license anyway??

Quadrophenia · 29/11/2006 13:31

sha11 congrats not sure what you can do though as chool have to agree its an important part of the lisence. Try school again?

sha11 · 29/11/2006 13:33

thats what i dont like with with UA everyone wants to be with them, go to consultation and then get a no, its like theyre assessing you not the child.

mrsratty · 29/11/2006 13:34

sha11 - Well done for the option! The only way to get a license is to get a letter from the school. Perhaps if you tell them that in future you will only accept jobs in the holidays and this is the only time you will ever ask they may be more fexible. GOOD LUCK!!!

Quadrophenia · 29/11/2006 13:34

don't understand what you mean about assessing the parent?

sha11 · 29/11/2006 13:36

thanks i got a strict letter from them saying 'please conduct such activities within our generous holiday allowances' i dont want to try them again so soon after last week!!

AK now display all kids ad babies!!!

sha11 · 29/11/2006 13:39

i just mean they've seen the childs pics and liked what they've seen then parents go in with the child and they're actually looking at how you are and if ... oh forget i said anything its just how i felt cos i hadn't made much effort and then a long train journey later was a mess...

p.s my ds is gorgeous by the way

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 13:40

sha11 does the holiday allowance include the 10 days you are allowed (in most schools) to take in school time ? might be worth enquiring

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 13:42

sha11 some agencies do assess the parent aswell as the child as they want to make sure its the childs choice to model and not being pushed by the parent, im sure you were fine at the assessment, you have TS to fall back on so chin up hun x

sha11 · 29/11/2006 13:51

tink - sorry i think uv confused me with ellismum

Quadrophenia · 29/11/2006 13:52

believe me if they were assessing the parents I wouldn't have passed

ellesmum · 29/11/2006 13:54

quad - lol

mythumbs ive emailed u back

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 13:57

lol I just combined 2 people in one post sha11 can you not take the modelling up with the board of governers, I cant beleive that the school is taking such a harsh view over this, anyone would think you are planning on sending your child to work up a chimney.

Quad I dont think you're that nutty gigles

Quadrophenia · 29/11/2006 14:00

honestly I'd have been chucked out straight away p

julie4travel · 29/11/2006 14:28

actually at b and b they said they like to assess the parents and that the children really want to do it not the parents pushing them into it etc. dont know how i passed! i know what you mean shall though.

julie4travel · 29/11/2006 14:29

i mean i dont think i am pushy yet i wasnt on my best behaviour !!!!!
