i ordered my free junior earlier with the further three issues for a pound, bargain! thanks for that link thorntons. they asked me where i found the site etc i just said google! i didnt want to say care of mumsnet

dylansluckymum · 29/11/2006 00:00

huge well done to julie and pimms los, hope tb shoot is good fun.

ds seemed to go straight to bed happy enough, but dp has been home with him and i've been out with mates sharing couple bottles of wine so just letting it wear off a bit before i hit the sack! i must say though he did go super spaz mode right after the medicine, he was beside himself with giggle fits (so cute but you can't help but feel it was a bit unnatural) kicking all over the place and then just conked! i think he had a similar reaction to your dds mrsratty!

good sleeps to all hope you have a lovely wednesday. that's tomorrow right?

mysonsmummy · 29/11/2006 00:32

sorry if this offends - but i cant believe anyone would let someone put shoes on their child that are so obviously to small for them. i am quite shocked by it actually.

lindac · 29/11/2006 07:45

Julie and pimms congrats on the tb job
julie- realy hope its not on his play day ! after all the waiting thats just typical isnt, like waiting for a bus wait for ages and three turn up !!
ellesmum- hope your lo's blisters are not to painfull for her
good luck to everyone with castings and jobs

Flamesparrow · 29/11/2006 08:20

Ouch for the blistered feet! DLM - Aren't you lovely?! DH has been doing some sneaky printing on the photo printer at work yesterday, but thankyou soo much for the offer

Lolly68 · 29/11/2006 09:26

Well done Julie and Pimms on Ted Baker. How cool is that? I love Ted Baker - I wear it all the time myself!

DLM - hope Dylan gets better soon.

Ellesmum - seems like the shoot went well but shame about poor Elle's feet! Could not have been very pleasant for her.

Hello Mrsratty and Little Madam!

julie4travel · 29/11/2006 09:32

morning- lolly wish i could afford to wear it

saying that my glasses i got the other week were Ted baker think they are the only thing i own of that brand. am feeling more excited now just want to know which date it is to get it sorted

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 09:51

Morning all, that medised is good, have swigged from the bottle myself when felt rough

have ordered the Junior issues, thank thorntons for sharing xx

Lolly68 · 29/11/2006 09:53

Julie - I cant afford to buy it I het my DP to buy it for me!!

sha11 · 29/11/2006 09:57

went to the casting yesterday, it was the first casting my kids have had and i've gone to, not a brilliant experience 2 hours travel both ways 10 mins casting - snapshots. girls were tired after school and had homework to do. especially when they cant do the job next week even if they get it!! wont do castings unless its something really good in future.

do u think its ok to tell agency jobs/castings in holidays only?

julie4travel · 29/11/2006 10:27

sha11 that is such a shame. i know some castings it seems such an effort andrush to get there to be in an out in a couple of mins. on the plus side the ted baker casting was a lovely casting really nice people, the building was entertaining for kids etc and my ds had asked if we could do it again sometime as he really enjoyed it!

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 10:48

thats a shame it wasnt a good experience sha11, maybe it would be an idea and ring the agency and have a little chat and tell them about the problems you have had with the school and they might come to an alternative arrangment

ellesmum · 29/11/2006 11:07

mysonsmummy - i wont be letting her wear shoes too small for her again, i must admit though dds feet are a size 8, very big for her age and their size 8 shoes looked huge on her! i think she mainly got some blisters because she was running around for so long in them without any socks.

ellesmum · 29/11/2006 11:20

shall - sorry to hear your first experience with a casting wasnt very good, castings are always rushed and a bit hectic in my experiences but worth it if your lo gets the job from them!

julie - really hope the date for the tb shoot dosent collide with your los plays. i also love ted baker clothes! wish i was modelling for them lol

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 11:20

size 8 feet wow, DD is 5 and she takes a 9.5.

just done the washing up, sat down to type and noticed blood on the keyboard, I had cut my finger and hadnt noticed, I need to go back to bed I think lol

ellesmum · 29/11/2006 11:28

tink - ouch! when dd was born all the midwives were talking about how big her feet were! she was tiny but huge feet! lol i m still hoping she will grow into them!

Tinkerbel5 · 29/11/2006 11:33

my nan is a size 8, she recons she is a 7 but then puts a shoe horn in them to stretch them

ellismummy · 29/11/2006 11:50

Just recieved letter from ua and it was a no for us. Feeling a little disapointed, its hard not to get your hopes up when you get as far as the consultation, and ds had really enjoyed it too.
never mind, at least i dont have to make a decision now between them and ts, hopefully we will get some bits through ts from jan.

Lolly68 · 29/11/2006 11:53

Just replied to your post on CM.Net Ellismummy. Sorry that you did not get accepted. I'm sure TS will be good for your DS and you start getting lots of castings and jobs! I'm waiting for my phone to ring as well... good luck.

mythumbelinas · 29/11/2006 12:03

ellismummy, sorry to hear it was a no from UA.

ellesmum, oh, poor dd and her blisters! I'm sure she will be okay about shoes in the future. My dd got a blister from a shoe (the right size) on her very first shoot, and she got thru her shoot before showing me! Size 8 isn't so big. My dd is size 7 but knowing her she'll be a size 8 in no time.
Also, did you hear back for bhs? Dd got confirmed yesterday for tomorrow .. but i can't take her (dh will).. so i won't be able to see you again anyway

Great news pimms and julie!!! Best of luck!!

julie4travel · 29/11/2006 12:04

sorry ellismummy. i think we will be fine with ts dont worry. i am sure once they get some experience with an agency and hopefully lots of jobs other agencys who may have said no to us originally may then take us on! i am still really positive about ts!

ellesmum · 29/11/2006 12:05

ellismummy- sorry you didnt get into urban angels, truley scrum are a very good agency and you should do very well with them, good luck for jan when he starts getting put forward for work. at littlewoods job dd recently went to there was a little girl there from ts and she was getting 2 jobs a month with them, so they definatley do get the work.

mythumbelinas · 29/11/2006 12:05

sha11, sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the casting. That is such a shame that the school won't allow your dds to model. I hope you can sort something out

ellesmum · 29/11/2006 12:09

mythumbs - no havent been confirmed for bhs yet so must not have wanted her in the end hope dd does well for them tomorrow.
