It was wonderful to sleep in my own bed last night. Very slow start this morning to a slow day. It took me nearly an hour to wash and get dressed before slowly making my way downstairs. Felt better after my morning meds so I may take them upstairs with me tonight to take as soon as I wake up.

Otherwise I spent the day sorting through my email inbox.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/06/2015 20:57

Slow is good Z, the only thing that matters is that you get stronger and feel better and you need to pace yourself to achieve that.

You're doing brilliantly sweetheart Flowers

greylady and your son have done a fantastic job of keeping us up to date which we've been inestimably grateful for.

I'm glad you've come home to such lovely weather and hope you can just sit and enjoy your garden, very good therapy.

lots of love x

mummylin2495 · 04/06/2015 21:26

Lovely to see you post Zombie. Do take things easy and get your strength back. Lots of good food to build you up and maybe a little wine if you are allowed it. Is there someone to help you in these first few days at home ?

Lovely to see you posting Zombie. Lots of rest & Zcat cuddles for you in the sunshine while you recuperate.

Allalonenow · 05/06/2015 08:18

So lovely to see you posting here Zombie. You are bound to need to take things very slowly and gently for the time being.

One of the things I do when I need a bit of TLC is to have breakfast in bed. I have a couple of those individual boxes of fruit juice and a couple of individually wrapped little cakes like Bonne Maman do, and have them by the bed ready for the morning.
So I can have a little drink and something sweet before I have to face the day. Smile

Take things slowly today Thanks

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 05/06/2015 14:54

slow is good Zombie. Thanks There's something so comforting about ones own bed. I'm glad you had a nice sleep.

I think you are very brave starting with your email inbox, I'm terrible with emails and you're welcome to sort mine anytime Wink

I hope Zcats are looking after you nicely. If you fancy my chicken & butternut squash soup for dinner just shout.
In fact I wonder if I could freeze some and post it?! is there such thing as ParcelFroze?

Hmmm..I think I'll have go to the Dragon's Den and present "Meals on Sleighs".Grin I wonder if it would take off.

iklboo · 05/06/2015 18:07

I has been to a gin joint. I have had three very strong different gins. Aviation, Cold River & King of Soho. Only 152 more there to sample.

Hope you're well today Zombie & resting up.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/06/2015 18:10

iklboo am very jealous of your gin palace. I am still at work Angry Sad [loser]

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 05/06/2015 20:01

I like Meals on Sleighs Grin

Which was best ginikl?

I hope Zombie had a nice restful day Flowers

iklboo · 05/06/2015 20:34

Of the three B3 I liked Cold River best. It's from the USA. Very refreshing.

'Find the perfect balance of botanical flavor with the handcrafted gin that promises genuinely good taste. Like our world-famous vodkas, our gluten-free gin is made with whole Maine potatoes and the pure water of Maine's Cold River. Using a recipe that dates back to the early days of British gin, we use our own secret blend of seven traditional botanicals that are steeped for the perfect amount of time to infuse the essential flavors. The end result is a true handcrafted American spirit that delights the true gin lover with a perfectly dry, exquisitely balanced and invigorating taste experience'.

Tonic, ice, slice & juniper berries. Awesome.

iklboo · 05/06/2015 21:36

If the phalanx ever makes it to Manchester we're all going to Atlas Bar & drinking our collective way through the 'Gin Bible'.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 05/06/2015 22:20

That sounds very slatherous (I made that up) and delicious.

I might make a special trip Grin

I'm not sure even the Phalanx could make it through 152 (!) gins in one sitting.

We may have to set aside a whole week-end.

Wolfiefan · 05/06/2015 22:30

Ooooooooo yes pleeeeeease. I want gin!

So glad to see Zombie home. Take it easy my lovely. Can you train cats to bring your meds (like a St Bernard?) and give you the pills (hopefully without the need to wrap you in a towel and sit on you like I do with the moggies!!)

magimedi · 05/06/2015 23:01

I'm not sure even the Phalanx could make it through 152 (!) gins in one sitting.

Slander!! Report BBB!

I could make it through 152 gins in one session - no problemo!

It would be one fuck of a long session - with a rain break now & again!! Grin

Zombie - I hope you are tucked up in bed with the Z cats & have a good zzzz & a nice easy start to tomorrow.

iklboo · 05/06/2015 23:40

There's a whole menu. We could split it up - a 'strip' each. Have a sip of each other's. So to speak.

iklboo · 05/06/2015 23:40

At £4-6 a pop though we might need a whip round.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/06/2015 00:18

I'll start training now.

Reckon I could drink you all under the table!

Hahahahaha!

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 06/06/2015 01:29

As ever I'll offer my services to drive you all home.
Wink

honestly for a second I thought there's a business idea there, maybe call it "Drunks on Wheels" but better(er).
then I realized this already exists. it's called cabs Sad

mummylin2495 · 06/06/2015 11:08

Wails " I don't like gin " I will just hang around and take the hilarious photos that I'm sure the drinkathon would produce and I'm sure that BBB would never find her way home !
Zombie, hope you are settled in now you have been home a couple of days. Lots of rest and good meals is in order for you. I am sure you must be feeling quite wiped out, but each day should be better for you now.
Not so long to go until you get the most important visitor of your life, have you started the weekly countdown yet ! What a lovely thing to look forward too x

OP posts:
HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 06/06/2015 11:17

Mummylin who is the most important visitor?

I reckon I could do 150 gins in one session, if it was just a tiny sip from each Grin

Shall I start us a just giving page to fund the outing Grin

mummylin2495 · 06/06/2015 12:39

Zombie has her son coming over from Abroad ! Great excitement in the Zombie household. Will be very special visit.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 06/06/2015 14:41

Hearts what do you consider a sip? a teaspoon? half a teaspoon?

1/2 teaspoon is 2.5ml
that 150 times is 375ml so half of a 750ml (or 75 cl) bottle. that is a considerable amount!

#ginmaths

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/06/2015 17:34

Zing don't be a spoilsport Grin

There's poor Hearts doing her absolute best to be accommodating and co-operative, and you're throwing arithmetic at her!

Thanks for the offer of lifts home though Smile

magimedi · 06/06/2015 23:05

O'll ave a loift ome - oi ave bean praktizing - hic!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/06/2015 23:47
